Really? I would sell whenever they release a new product and stocks are high and buy when hysterical people sell so I can buy them cheaply.

I dunno. Maybe it would be a better idea to not buy or sell at all, and just hold on to the stocks for 40-50 years.

Sell when there is a clear decline or when you feel that a decline is imminent.  Over 40-50 years, a lot can happen.

But in the stock market, most of that doesn't matter.  The market will always recover.

Lemme know what you think about Enron in 40-50 years.

Well, I was talking about more stable stocks.  Companies like GE have been on DJIA since 1907.

Nah I think he's showing his not-give-a-fuck-ness by entering a thread with "Steve Jobs", someone he clearly does not give a fuck about, in its title and reading its posts then quoting someone else who did basically the same thing.
All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out.

I agree.  Moreso, I, personally, don't give a fuck either, but I give a fuck that everyone else knows that I don't give a fuck.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

I are no prostitute.  They have a proven business model that will continue to function unless proven otherwise.

The investment was not from this year; $75,000 USD in stock in 2002.

Large return on investment indeed :)

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=AAPL&t=my&l=on&z=l&q=l&c= Hard to know since it varied a lot during that time period. Anyhow, those 75k are now around 1 million, depending on when they were invested and so on.

Yeah, 40 bucks to 400 bucks is 75k to 750k ish.

Purchased Feb. 12 2002 by my parents and family for me as a university fund thing.

Feb 12, 2002 AAPL at $24.92 USD (3000 stocks).  Not exactly 75k.

They are worth a lot more now :)
