Yes, Minecraft has been a god send to PC players. There are mods out the ass in that game... sadly... it USE to be a PC exclusive, but now it will be on the Xbox 360. It'll probably be $20 too.

I truly hate that game! So lame.

What did it ever do to you? Molest you or something? Hate is such a strong word...
Although I like Minecraft, I found out that I can't play it too well, because I am not autistic enough to ever finish any epic projects.

Honestly, I prefer a delayed release to a "never-coming" release. Some DLC for Transformers: War for Cybertron never arrived for the PC version for example. Though won't promise not to rant if a delayed DLC for Batman Arkham City is announced.
I'm more annoyed by all the pre-order crap deals. "Pre-order here and get bla-bla-bla!" Whatever happened to just releasing the damn game and then let stuff like that be unlockable to players?

Like the LA Noire cases? That was annoying, I agree. It's hard to tell if content that they make is already in the game and is just unlocked by the code or if it's actually "new" content. In the case of id Software, they are completely done with RAGE. The thing is, they developer is already working on the DLC even though the game is in the process of going gold.

If it is pretty much gold it means parts of the development team no longer has anything to do with the title. They would be more likely to cut content than to fix it at that point. Seems good sense to me to drop them on DLCs or a new project. Which means the first DLC will be done around the same time as the game is. Then they ramp down the team and move them to another title.

it's just... kind of stupid? Like playing Halo 3 forge for hours and hours and hours.
If I want to build something, i'll do it in a 3d program

Halo 3 forge is a map editor that is very limited (you can only add / move certain items and you cannot modify the terrain), a bad comparison.
And maybe some people like gathering materials and building epic things out of them in a game instead of a 3D program (by which you mean something like 3DMax, if I understood correct). ::)
