No, we get shit on a lot... this is why other developers that aren't buying into one company or another are actually doing better in the eyes of the fans. Lately, I've really enjoyed games like Catherine and Deus Ex... but they aren't from really popular developers.
True, but did you get the feeling that some games have huge mod scenes? As an example, Final Fantasy games have a huge fanbase, but probably close to no modder scene and that is fine. They are pumping out new games so often that they are on two digit numbers now.
However there are games like Homeworld 2, Half Life, TES games, Battlefield games, etc... that are thriving and even profiting from a huge modder scene. Imagine if Valve told us: "Hey, we will release new version of Counter Strike, but guys using this console will get it first". Or if after many years Homeworld 3 is released and the developer makes it an exclusive for a console while taking the best parts from various HW2 mods.
Before people claim that Bethesda does not use mods content on their next game:
Morrowind Poisons Mod (poisons can be crafted in vanilla Oblivion)
Pegas Horse Ranch (Oblivion had horses)
Fallout 3 weapon mods... mod (New Vegas has that feature in vanilla)
and there are many many more examples. So my point is: when even console players are benefiting from PC mod scene, then why is Bethesda shitting all over the PC gamers by making exclusives like that? No offence PS3 gamers, you can be pissed about xbox exclusive, but in all honesty it is a bigger punch in the face for the modders.
They've been running Xbox 360 footage on show floors and such, so I'm guessing that the PS3 version will be comparable if not worse.
If I know Bethesda right, they will make it the same for all consoles and PC just because they are lazy.
Fallout on the PS3 (both 3/NV) run fine for me, as if I was running the game on a medium level gaming rig. Honestly, it's all up to the random game freezes that can either happen 20 minutes into playing the game OR you can play the game for 5 hours and not see a single freeze.
It seems to be a problem on xbox when you fast travel a lot and finally fast travel to a texture intense area.
