Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that the animation is quite poor. But even the comedy is quite lacking imo, that too is probably related to the animation. The deformed character design and eye expression are so unlike the manga/previous shows :/

Animation wise I liked the background and stuff, but yeah some char design are pretty awkward. I was still ok with it till they completely destroyed Hinagiku's design. Hopefully they change it soon though I really can't see that happening. Maybe it will change in Blu-Ray, or is even that is too much to hope for?

EDIT: watched the fourth episode, animation and art is getting hopeless after every episode. Not sure I will be able to follow this for long unless they make a comeback soon.
