Shadow Hearts
Ephemeral Fantasia
Wish someone hadn't stolen my Ephemeral Fantasia disc so I could play again.
...Ephemeral Fantasia? You mean... you miss that game? D: That game could have been so much fun... Instead, I spent all my time yelling at the screen, totally lost regardless of the area's map status, never making it to any event on time because I was so busy being completely lost, and just being ridiculously frustrated that as soon as I'd manage to get anywhere or do anything, OH LOOK, MY FIVE DAYS ARE UP. SDFKGHSZKDLJGHD;JDGHLDFSKJGHKDSLGH That game was a total punch in the face - so much so that even with a walkthrough I printed out, I couldn't manage to do more than recruit like two people. Sooooo much hate. The storyline was AMAZING though, and the fights were fun - it's just that after you've played for 20 hours and gotten nowhere, it becomes considerably less fun. X.x
Let's see, underrated games... Well, I generally don't know how games are rated outside of my own little world, so though I know the general 'Final Fantasy is popular' and 'everyone knows what Zelda is', I'm not sure what games may have been underrated - especially since I only play RPGs for the most part. I'm going to say Eternal Sonata, definitely. I don't have a PS3, so I only got to play a little of it, but the concept was facinating and it was so amazing to play with and as Chopin. <3 Uh, I was a pretty big fan of Legend of Legaia. Oooo, Brave Fencer Musashi was a real riot, too. Legend of Dragoon was awesome, though the English was pretty consistently just this side of not quite right. Not enough people I have talked to have played Disgaea 2 - that game is freaking hilarious, and it was the first SRPG I played that had really enjoyable combat instead of frustrating obnoxiousness. (SO MUCH HATE for the FF Tactics battle system. Seriously.) But Disgaea 2 is fun and entertaining and has lots of feasible options instead of a ton of useless ones. Plus, the satire and dark humor is everywhere and the characters are too much fun. Taro is my favorite! <3 I'm also a big fan of RPGs that dare to ditch the sword. The main character uses his fists. It's awesome. Plus, there are talking penguins that explode when you throw them! Who wouldn't love that?!
