Technically, Miyamoto was a bandit at first, but then he started a school, Miyamoto's Dual Sword is effective but crude and inelegant, while Sasaki's style offered speed, defence and elegance which was the way of the Samurai of the time.

Both are heroes of children's stories, but their real personas were never proven if I am not mistaken, those two are legendary but whether they actually ever existed was debatable last time I checked.

Reason for the speculations are clear, if they were so great with swords, why didn't they ever trained soldiers in any lords army or take their part in the warring states period ?

I'm pretty sure you will disagree with me, but Kojiiro Sasaki is probably going to become Musashi's ally simply because he already has a mouse and is closer to being a guardian of the Asama Shrine :)

Generally speaking, Musashi Miyamoto, although cool, was a bandit in his early years.

Yeah, Musashi was a bandit in his youth, but that is until he turned 21. Then he thought with many schools and won over all of them.

Musashi didn't want to serve to any lord for ages, but during his last years he was invited to Ogura where he taught martial arts and drawing in the castle of lord Kumamoto (if I remember his name correctly). Though before this he served Tokugawa, for a little while. (I'll have to check on this later, to be more sure of it). It was during 1610s, I'm sure of this.

And Musashi wrote a book "The book of five rings" plus, he opened his own school, which was called "Ni To Ichi Ryo" which means "Two swords one soul". Not sure of translation though.

Anyways, Musashi's existence never was under a question, he was a hero back in his days, he is a hero even now. Oh and by the end of his life his fighting style was superb.

Also he's know as the samurai who never lost, even in a single duel.

pffff I ended up with one more historical lecture =_=

Anyway, if there is a possibility that those two might enter this anime I will be so damn happy. And I was always wondering, why do they call Japan Musashi... =// Might be a legit reason behind this. I still hope they will explain why is Musashi's name chosen.

Musashi is a district that travels around, fact is Japan serves as the host for all "countries" because it is the only habitable area in the world.

I'm pretty sure those two will clash, and If I'm not mistaken and that IS Sasaki, then he is moving in to make contact and start a fight.

If you forgot, Oda clan is also around, it's not possible for them to travel from Mikawa to Brittain at the pace they are flying (Musashi is a friggin Battlecruiser class ship, it's size is that of a fairly big town) in mere 2 weeks, moving something this size takes considerable power at all, and the yaren't traveling at high speeds, although it is mentioned that "Musashi" is a fairly fast ship, it can be caught by a few frigates (and was attacked by a few as well).

Back in S1, they travelled through Oda Clan's territory at top speed, you can easily see how fast it was when Oda clan was standing on their frigate and were clearly observable even though their ship wasn't moving.

Like Masazumi explained, Musashi is ready to leave anytime, so Brittain, even if they wanted to pursue them, wouldn't be able to catch them in time because their fleet is too far, and Masazumi said that their next stop would be 2 weeks from now, so it's not like they are fast, they just plan their moves ahead and expect trouble.


I loved how Masazumi declared war, or at least that's what everyone thought she did :)
Once again, Masazumi is their best politician, and she's an honest one for once :D

Masazumi is a genius of a politician. She was very good with negotiation from the very beginning.
Though, Toori also has very strong negotiating skills. He just acts stupid all the time =_= extremely stupid.
