Second season was expected, it's hardly surprising. The story is just too damn good not to do it, sales are doing well on DVDs and BDs as well and if i'm not mistaken, season 2 was announced at teh end of the last episode of season one.

I liked this anime from the very first episode. Very good animation, and beautiful characters. Yeah most of the girls had big boobs but it was fitting. Oh and hair-styles were just amazing. Also some interesting characters like Aoi Toori and Honda Masazumi.

Didn't like only one thing. Too many characters for a 13ep anime, i couldn't remember names of most of them. But that's not a big deal.

Fighting was also interesting and beautiful. I'd rate this anime 8/10.

Anyways, looking forward to the second season. That'll be fun.

Heh, I can't even begin to understand how people can enjoy this beyond the animation... The story barely makes any sense, they drowned us in dozens of ridiculous characters that also barely make any sense. Also the ending...

What I hate most about it is that I'll probably watch the second season just to know what the fuck else they can come up with to try to make sense of all the fiasco.

3- PAY ATTENTION TO ANIME WHEN YOU WATCH IT, NEVER SKIP IT BY FAST FORWARDING!

Plot is good, but if you don't pay even the slightest attention, you will miss on many things.

while I do agree that the cast is huge for a half-season length anime, the plot is good and complex, like havoc said you've got to pay careful attention, watching it a second time answered many of my questions. can't wait for second season, i think first episode aired today?
I'll get round to it someday. SOMEDAY ffs

So the second season starts off quickly where first season left off, awesome, and the finale of the battle was pretty interesting. I hope this season will continue to entertain me, and the first episode sure was pretty fun to watch.

Yea... I understood all that, just because I hinted that the plot was retarded doesn't mean that I didn't get it. Not sure why you went batshit crazy on me lol. I mean my avatar is pretty cute, tsundere?

Hey guys, is this anime worth watching? I'm looking for something not too serious atm, fan service maybe, maybe ecchi (not necessary).

Watched 1st episode of second season.

Yeah really a good anime. Now I like it even more.

I still think that my favorite characters from this anime are Kimi, Futayo, Masazumi and Toori. No need to mention Horizion, cuz she's the best :D

I'm very interested though in Tachibana Gin. Want to find out more about this character. Her personality, abilities, fighting style, etc.

In short - looking forward to the next episode.

i agree with you i really want to find out more about Gin. When she pulled out her guns on that guy in the first season when she came to pick up the defeated Muneshiga, i felt like i was trolled since she didn't fight at all for the whole of the season. Now second season kickstarts with her having a nice fight and second episode some awesome deadpan humour, looking forward to more from her to see how the plot goes. i looked at some of the light novels and noticed novel 2-A she is on the front cover, so she's probably going to be fairly instrumental to the plot (hoping anyway).

The plot isn't terrible, but it's a sidestory to the romantic arc, and compounded by the short series length and ridiculously large cast. So everything gets densely packed and honestly not a whole lot happens in the first season. And the hints for the second season seemed pretty boiler-plate Shounan series (a set of items that need to be collected, various tiers of bad guys to overcome, etc.)

It's drawn decently and the action is pretty good, but I'd have to disagree with anyone who thought the story was particularly well done. I'm guessing the Light Novels do it a lot better.

Large cast my ass, complain all you want but they all are taking part in the story, introducing them early saves time for more important things so I suggest you stop complaining about large cast of characters. I've seen shows with much more characters tbh.

Cast was large, but that doesn't make anime any bad. Each of the characters had his/her role, and very important one. And the plot is a great one as well. They could put together romance, ecchi, shounen, humor (an exceptional one) so neatly. I don't know anything about light novels, and I don't really care. Anime is so interesting it keeps me in suspense all the time. That's what i expect from a good show, and I get it.

Were those shows any good, either? Seriously, not having the largest cast in any anime ever doesn't suddenly make Horizon's small.

It's a literal class room full of characters. Most of them aren't very important. They're never going to be very important. But they'll eat up screen time and detract from the plot. Which isn't very important to begin with, since it's mostly a side story to the Ecchi content and the romance.

It's a very dense mythology that unfortunately plays second string to a bunch of meh shounan content. Feel free to enjoy it all you want, but that doesn't suddenly make it great story telling.

Most of the cast isn't very important. And every one added means less screen time for the more integral cast.

The series has this huge mythology, and it spends most an inordinate amount of time on the Shounan class room stuff. It ends the first season with a ton of hints of more Shounan systems, and very little in the way of exploring the mythology more. I'm sure it'll get resolved eventually, but I imagine they're going to spend far more time on the gigantic breasts and resolving stock Shounan tropes like "collect all the doodads" than the structure of the setting.
