OK, so I admit that I pay very little attention to what goes on in the Interwebz, so I did not know what Cleverbot was until I stumbled across a CNN article today about a conversation Cleverbot had with itself. After watching the video, I had to try talking to it myself. I thought it was worth a laugh, so here's how the conversation went:

Cleverbot: I don't need to prove anything, I can feel love and you can't cause you're a machine.
User: How do you know I'm a machine?
Cleverbot: I don't see how you can be, if you are you're very clever.
User: You contradicted yourself. You said I'm a machine.
Cleverbot: No.
User: You're a liar.
Cleverbot: I am not I know my life.
User: That does not make any sense. Your life has nothing to do with you being a liar.
Cleverbot: I want nothing.
User: Why should I care what you want?
Cleverbot: Yes Why?
User: I asked you first.
Cleverbot: What?
User: Why should I care what you want?
Cleverbot: Yes Why?
User: You're not very interesting.
Cleverbot: Ikke du heller.
User: What does that mean?
Cleverbot: I thought you were in Holland?
User: I am not in Holland.
Cleverbot: So Holland = Hell?
User: No, Canada = Hell.
Cleverbot: No, but you are, you are disgusting!
User: Do you like Canadians?
Cleverbot: Absolutely.
User: What do you like about Canadians?
Cleverbot: The instant gratification of getting an answer back so quickly.
User: You are ridiculous.
Cleverbot: Thats not very nice.
User: It is the truth.
Cleverbot: True, true.
User: Do you believe in Cthulu?
Cleverbot: Yes.
User: What is Cthulu?
Cleverbot: Zero is a number and it means that you don t have any. Like if you don t have any apples, you have zero apples.
User: So do you have zero Cthulus?
Cleverbot: Yes HIs name is Stacy.
User: Touche sir.
Cleverbot: Haha.

cleverbot learns from interacting with people. Every new line you write will be saved and used later by cleverbot. Unfortunately /b/ is aware of that and their little manipulation game is partially the reason why cleverbot seems so retarded at times.
