"Oh shit I lost/broke/ate my phone. Good job I can buy another with chump change"

I actually find my cheap phone has lasted me longer than a smartphone would. Apart from not breaking as quick as friends with smartphones, I KNOW this for a fact because a couple of times muggers have simply handed it back to me and walked off disappointed.

Those phones kitamesume is talking about aren't smartphones.

Kitamesume and I live in a country where we can buy phones that aren't tied to a network. You can say that most phones in our country are disposable.

Some muggers are even annoyed that you only have a crappy phone.

I still wouldn't exactly call them disposable. Unless, of course, they're cheap knock-offs made by some random person in China who's selling them for $5 or something (and the battery lasts about 1.5 cycles).

v Sounds vintage, except with crazy battery. But I meant 1.5 cycles as in it no longer holds a charge after you charge it a couple times.
