New Galaxy Note & will iphone5 top iphone 4?

Just come out, I am tempted to buy it.

I was going to buy a samsung tab but I am put off with which one they have released so many I cant be bothered to research every single one.

Also the iphone 5 is to be announced in a few weeks. With Jobs gone will apple be the same? I really don't know...I think it will affect the iphone 5. I can see the iphone 5 either a yes or a dissapointing no.

you must be fucking retarded, im sorry but thinking jobs did much of anything other then pick some brilliant people who designed and created the products the lemmings around the world now buy is fucking silly.
He has had next to zero input on iphones  its all underlings that design it and engineers who decide what to stuff in it in the limited space and what not to put in it so they can release iphone 6 in 6-12 months

You are just an angry apple hater.
The iPhone 4 is a glimpse of real beauty.
I am not arguing it's specifications, because I know certain android phones have superior specs, and yet they still lack the quality the iphone 4 brings. if the iphone 5 is a flop then steve jobs was behind the creation of the iphone 4, no doubt. Yeah I've heard, hes this and that, etc the phone is just repackaging. So what? So many iphone 4 haters because they hate apple. people need to learn to differentiate between the two.

What mgz meant is that Steve Jobs has no technical background whatsoever. Even Apple fanboys agree that Jobs is the best end user. He will make a blind demand with a complete disregard for technical capabilities and order his brilliant engineering team to assemble a pretty gadget with high end stuff in it.

Short story: you crediting Steve Jobs for how the iPhone is the biggest insult to the designers and engineers that actually designed it.

No, the iPhone 5 will not be any different from how it is supposed to be only because Steve Jobs quit.

On a side note, I still have my 5 year old Nokia dumbphone lying around. In your face, planned obsolescence!

PS; iPhones warranty states that the iPhone should not be operated at a temperature below 0 degrees celcius..... in fucking Norway! yeah, right!  ::)

although steve had no part in actually making products part of his Charisma in marketing them is what gave apple its boost people would listen to every word that man said, He was good at taking a semi good product and making it seem like it was made of gold. Will apple products Change at all I doubt it, the question would be do the hard core followers still follow without steve there.

Samsung makes awesome phone but I just can't get myself to like it, there touch-screen's seems lacking to me, not really responsive enough for me. I liked the super-sensitive touch of iphone, though I am not a iphone fag. But that's just me, and it's my opinion.

If you are happy with Samsung, then it's all good, cause there stuff is quite good even if it doesn't please me.

But don't you think 5.3 inches a bit too much for a phone? Handling anything above 3.5" itself becomes uncomfortable (for single hand-use i.e., that how I like to use it).

Yes true. I will hold each phone in my hand before buying it.

Steve Jobs was the leader. He is an idealist. He is an executor. Of course he wasn't completely behind the creation of the iphone 4, he was the one was the face of it and made it happen with the resources that were available to him. Even then it's technology isn't that great anyway apart from the retina display and the design. The design has not cannot be matched by any other phone in existence. Samsung has the capabilities. If only they would use the sames designs for their tvs for their phones, and get a better interface for their operating system then iphones will dissappear.

Yeah I do jump back and forth from latest technology to oldschool nokias every now and then.

The iPhone 5 will be superior to the Galaxy, I have Galaxy and it is a bit crap construction quality.

Samsung galaxy S2 is not crap. It is amazing too. It's weight is just awsome. But one thing for sure the feel of the back is a fail.

I disagree, aesthetics and design is a thing of personal taste, so claiming superiority by the looks is a very faulty argument. For one, I think that any phone that doesn't have buttons is automatically a big failure because that means I can't type messages without staring at a damned screen. That includes iPhone, HTC, Galaxy, etc..

I personally prefer full touch-screens to the normal keyed one, it's more easier to interact that way. And after a while you can type without seeing on the on-screen qwerty as well. It's just a matter of practice.

I bet you still can't send text messages from your pocket though. Because buttons give a response every time you press it, you will get confirmation through your finger that you actually pressed the button. You can never be too sure with touchscreen.

What I will most likely buy is one of those Nokias that have touch screen but also slide out a full qwerty keyboard. Those look neat!

The iPhone construction quality ain't brilliant either. I have one friend who covets it as though it'll break if its held too tightly, and I'm not surprised after seeing what's left of another friends iPhone's screen after he kept in his back pocket and did that most dangerous of activities; bending over. And he's not the only one whose broken their screen by doing something rather benign like accidentally dropping it once in your lifetime or putting it under mild tensile forces.

Screen protector? See threw plastic sheet.

Trust me. I was a button person. A Nokia T7, X7, N8 fanboy. I don't know. Things change after you own a iPhone 4. After over a year of having the phone I still have to admire it's body and design. This is beyond my control, and I rejected the previous iphones.

What annoys me is that Nokia can't get their shit together with a real OS for their smarthpones, I wouldn't mind Symbian, but lately they have been changing OS faster than underwear and I hear rumours about them using Windows OS as a last attempt in the smartphone market.

Oh, well, I'll just stick to dumbphones, don't even need an SMS function, I literally only use it to call... or more often to recieve calls because people keep bugging me all the time.

As for design, last time I borrowed an iPhone from a friend, I got the sensation that it was the most uncomfortable phone to hold next to your ear and it's shape (a brick) did not make it more comfortable to hold the phone while talking to someone.

the biggest problem is their high end smart phones arent in us user hands, other then that they price their nice smart phones just like the other companies but without me getting 400 dollars off for a contract = nobody buying a 600$ phone.
But yea them not making their os really good really fast or jumping boat on it is one of the things thats killing them

I've not bothered with a smartphone. I have a phone that cost me £40 new and it still makes phone calls and texts, which is oddly enough what I want from a phone. I must admit though, that internet when out and about is pretty nifty particularly when travelling, but I'd be much more inclined to spend £200 on a cheap notebook than fork over £600 or £40/month for a overpriced phone that needs charging each day.

Yes you do have a point about the prices. Personally netbooks are silly. Tablets are overpriced. And Notebooks/laptops are good but not as good as smart phones or tablets on the go.

What annoys me is that Nokia can't get their shit together with a real OS for their smarthpones, I wouldn't mind Symbian, but lately they have been changing OS faster than underwear and I hear rumours about them using Windows OS as a last attempt in the smartphone market.

I do hope they sort their smart phones out (Nokia) and with a Windows OS it's enough to destroy all the players in the mobile game. They have potential. But I have been waiting for a long time for Nokia to sort themselves out. I hope they keep it simple and old school like with 3310s and 6210s...but then keep it smart(phone) aswell. In the meantime though once you go touch, keypads just become pointless and clumsy.

Smart phones do have their fun tbh, it's not the be all and end all. I remember having a cheap £10 phone for a year before I went a year with my iphone 4. I liked both. Simple is simple and easy and basic. Iphone is fast, whizzing, soo much information at your tips and yes touch makes it much more easier and quicker to use more faster then a qwerty keypad or a 12 digit keypad, though dialing a number on a 12 digit keypad will probably be the fastest i think do to its simple menu functions etc
but yeah both are good. simple phone = simple life. Which i like.

it doesn't cut it, you`d still see fingerprints, scratches are even more visible!
you`d have to replace the protector once a week, bad.

There's about ...5-7 different types of screen protectors. Each with their own quality.
The one I've got is perfect. no fingerprints (I just checked to make sure) and you don't notice it.
I've changed mine quite a few times before finding one that works.
