I set my PC to start playing music about 30 minutes before I have to get up (the playlist is arranged so the first songs are slow and quiet, and the songs progressively get louder and faster). The way of turning it off is by getting up, going to the amplifier and turning it off. I find that using this method I am almost never sleepy after I get up, because I get up slower. OTOH, I can turn off an alarm clock while I am sleeping (if the clock is within reach) or I am usually sleepy after I get up (if the clock is outside my reach from the bed). The volume takes some attempts to get it right. If it is too loud, I wake up fast and am sleepy and if it is too quiet I might not wake up, but if the volume is just right I am not sleepy at all.
