Glad I saw this topic, forgot to set my alarm, was just about to go to bed. No doubt I'd have woken up 3 hours late for work. Always seems to happen when I forgot. Saying that, I hate when my alarm goes off. Requires moving :(

Because I'm so paranoid about groggily hitting my alarm clock then going back to sleep again, I always end up waking up earlier than my set time... feels so terrible..

It's better than what I do, which is groggily hitting my alarm and going back to sleep again.

Kick the person beside me so he can turn it off and get out of bed, since its his alarm.
(Its almost as the alarm is for me, so I can wake him up..)
The problem with the world is that the intelligent  people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

Wow, this is EXACTLY what I do. Except often multiple times in a row before I end up getting out of bed

Apparently my response has changed. I used to ignore it, now I just get up.
Regardless of how little sleep I may have gotten.

Since I'm evening person who still has to get up early I use two alarms on my mobile actually: first to start waking and second to get up actually... well, that's the idea >_> In fact I keep waking every two hours or so
Because I'm so paranoid
, then I just turn off the first one (it doesn't seem to be of any use @_@) and after a while keep silencing the second for another 10 minutes until it's almost time to go >_>
The worst part of the story is I can't help but still wake at 6 a.m. on weekends =)

I don't use any alarm clock, and can't remember the last time I did.

I've read somewhere that waking up with the noise of alarm clock is a shock for human psyche. ://

So I never got that shock, alarms don't work with me, and I usually wake up, turn it off and go back to sleep automatically, so I have to adjust it with 3 different times, with a difference of 5~10 minutes between them.

That's not the point. If you just listen to it, and then go to sleep again, it has already affected you. That was what i read ://
