Sankarea [Series]

Ranko is the name, wanko is a nickname and it should be Sanka, which is Rea's family name.

Chihiro uses Wanko when he talks with ranko, it's intimate nickname he gave her, and it's only between them, her friends call her Ranko, Chihiro's family also uses Ranko, except for the old geezer who seems to want to hump her.
Commie uses Ranko nearly all the time, even when you obviously hear Wanko they use Ranko, also I seem to have noticed Commie using Sanka a few times when Chihiro said Rea. Their retardation is imbecible. Which is why I don't use them as reference, i only ran a few tests for comparison. Personally, nearly every sub group is better than Commie who claim to have their own translator, who uses CR scripts every time and only change a few words to seem more original. I don't need to prove anything, all you have to do is compare several other shows that are released by HS and Commie.
In the case of SankaRea, they use released scripts and only edit them.
Go with Hadena, don't support imbeciles that claim to be original by ripping others.

Back to the topic though, yeah he seemed to back out a bit, I think he just realized something and more than anything he wants to preserve her rather than date her. though I imagine after finding a way to preserve her he will want to date her and more.
