Indeed, which is why she annoys me. I like her personality and I admire her dedication, but since it's just not working, I'd go for the trap boy if I was in her shoes.

Just watched the recent episode.

Ranko is now officially my most hated character of this entire anime season. I can't find a single redeeming quality in her. I don't find her pretty, her personality is the worst I've seen in a very long time and I seriously wish Chihiro would tell her to get a life and let him live his dream, despite the fact that Rea is (quite literally) a lot more work than Ranko will ever be.

And to think she's only going to get worse from here...

Well, yeah I know what you mean, however, I can't force myself to hate her for what she is going to try doing. Because outside of the situation, shes a really nice person. However I do get why you want to hate her and I dislike her myself for the same reason, which is why she annoys me at this point. But I still Do like her when she's not all about Chihiro. She's pretty likable when she's not all about him. And she is pretty, just not enough to love her. I hope for some more "Get this monkey offa me!" situations lol

I think I would have liked her more if she weren't so pushy. But the fact that she tries everything in her power to win him over (and she'll become increasingly desperate over time) is mostly why I can't stand her. Love has to come naturally, you can't force it, yet she doesn't seem to understand that.

Maybe if Chihiro can't help Rea and she starts to rot away, he'll hook up with Ranko, but at this point, I think she has a better chance of winning the lottery.

Like I said, when Wanko is not all about Chihiro, she's likable. Every other moment she annoys me.

I actually liked her reminiscing their pasts, it was kinda warm and cute. But then she had to say she loves him. I will hate her as much as you do whenever she tries something, but when she's neutral, she will be liked by me.

Also, this proves me saying she hit the gramps on purpose, she saw what's going on.

As if she was actively trying to prevent Chihiro from knowing more about how to preserve Rea? That's quite an interesting theory, and it makes sense, given how much she tries to intervene with Chihiro's life.

After that episode, any likability I had for her is down the drain. All of this "I LOVE FURUYA" crap is so dumb. Especially when they went through their past, I can't see any reason out of that for her to like him, and it's not like he's all that great to her now. Now I just view her as illogical and clingy.

Like seriously, "he saved me from a dog" is her reason for liking him? wtf.

Rea's a different story. He was there during a time when her life was in turmoil, and he was the catalyst to fixing it. Rea liking him makes sense. Ranko's doesn't.

On a lighter note, this show is pretty hilarious. Apart from the last episode, I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wanko wants Chihiro to be normal, but this is a stupid world, when you become normal, you lost, so I say :be abnormal!

Chihiro and some of her close friends call her Wanko, while her name is Ranko, Wanko is her nickname.
Commie uses Ranko even when Wanko is being used in the script, the failures of them lol.

Her father is about to realize, that "Hell hath no fury ..." is not just an interesting saying, I have a feeling that Hell hath no rage like an angered woman.

That Furuya's friend, needs to get slapped hard by Rea.

Good episode. You can tell Rea isn't feeling all that comfortable with being filmed doing her daily activities. Can't blame her, though. having a camera pointed at you 24/7 would probably make even the least camera-shy person nervous.

Seems like the confrontation between Chihiro and Rea's dad will have to wait some more, as the next episode seems to be a Mero chapter. But, that's fine with me, as I like Mero, even though she hasn't given much screen time. I wonder why Babu likes sitting on top of her head.

BTW, was I the only one who thought that the short-haired girl Mero brought with her to the bathhouse was a boy and that (s)he and the girl next to her were checking each other's 'equipment' when they were undressing?

I lold when Chihiro's dad asked if Rea is a vegetarian, did he not notice those are Hortensia leaves ?
