Which group do you recommend for BD's?
Reinforce-eveeyu(or whatever) and Doki are doing the show in blu-ray
Coalgirls aren't confirmed so i am not taking them into consideration
I looked at the Reinforce version it was good too.. Fine quality imo.

Whoever uses EveYuu's subs gets my vote, so unless someone else steps in, I'll take Reinforce's stuff.

Doki uses their own subs, so obviously I'm not going for them.

Edit: The torrent is as slow as molasses, I hope this changes soon. Fuck it, this is taking too long.

I found a torrent from Kuroi-Nozomi that's not a re-encode. I'm taking that instead

I might also consider Kuroi-Nozomi torrent you are referring to but can you send me a snapshot from it when done with timing and episode number :)
Thanks :)

Edit: AniDB has no details about the files from Kuroi-Nozomi.

Kuroi-Nozomi are Blu-ray subbers who use other people's subs, hence why they're not listed.

* Dhruv agrees but he really wants to watch it because he really liked the girl in it. :D

So what would you recommend Kuroi-Nozomi or Reinforce-Eveyuu?

K-N's release looked fine to me (though I wish they checked the script for any mistakes before they released the files). I doubt Reinforce is going to be any better, especially since the encoder is still new at it, judging by his comments at NT.

You're the fool.
English way sounds stupid. Putting surname before first name is a cultural thing, and tells a lot about Japanese culture.

There are to ways for translation, liberal and literal.

I prefer literal by all means.

Well yeah i do agree with your point as same is the case here. Putting Surname before first name.
But taking the literal translation or the liberal one is upto a person and it obviously varies. I too prefer literal translations but well i guess i am at fault for ignoring that aspect. But i am NOT a fool for it. :)

Outside of Japan, formally, it doesn't matter if name is before surname, but in Japan, it's important.

Strongly disagree. I prefer using western name order whenever I can, coz it just sounds more natural. I don't care if it's a culture thing, they're doing it wrong, so my mind flips the order back the way it should.

I prefer somewhere in between. Too literal is often stiff and can look stupid (ex: translating honorifics or using 'big brother' each time 'onii-chan' is said), while too liberal can destroy a lot of in-jokes or cultural references.

I certainly don't like when they translate onii-chan, or suffixes, etc etc. It's Japanese, they must keep the atmosphere.

Oh and the thing I hate the most is when for example somebody says "Okazaki" but the subs say "Tomoya". WTF?!

^ I was wondering or a while that was I reading the right topic....

but yeah, I prefer the honorifics intact as well....

wasn't here a topic while back about this honorifics stuff, I think it was over a year ago though.
