After the anime develops the stepmother more I very much doubt you guys will be sympathizing with her anymore.   ;)

There's no excuse for letting an adult do that to a child.

The only positive thing I have to say about her so far is that she looks hot, but in my book, she as a mother should do everything in her power to protect her children, even if she is a stepmother (which btw I did not know until you spoiled that) her duty IS to protect the children of the family she marries into. So I can't say I can ever sympathize with some one like that. Both of them (parents) are sickening, Sanka's father holds a lot of influence so even if she went legal against her father she would have lost so I can sympathize with her desire to die.

Her dad is not only having improper feelings towards his own daughter but he also wants to alienate her (well, he practically did it already) which is even more sickening. Personally I would cut his guts out and watch him bleed in pain.

did they mention in the anime she is the stepmother?
cause if she is a stepmother then it makes total sense. . .
Its not rare for stepmoms/dads to not "love" the previous marriage children. . .
havent you watched Cinderella :P

They didn't mention that, and maybe in some countries it is common sense not to love first kids, but in Poland, step parents generally want to be on very good terms with kids, simply for the sake of peace.
What you say is a stereotype which is not true at all.

Stereotypes are good in fictional works.  They convey a great deal of information about a character without the author having to actually take the time to develop that character.

The "stereotype" of a stepmother not loving the child from a previous marriage is pretty ancient.  It has appeared in countless cultures all across the world in various stories.

Nobody has ever argued that it's true that "all stepmothers don't love their stepchildren."  If you think anyone believes that to be true or that in "some countries" that statement is true, you're a fool.

Furthermore, the worry that the step-parent can't love the step children is not a strange worry.  Often, people who become step-parents themselves will worry if they can come to love the child they aren't biologically related to.

woops, totally forgot that they didn't mentioned that.

One of reasons I hate her is that she is adult and adult should protect kids from harm

especial from ppl like here father.

Its really hard to go in details and don't spoil what will happen in next episodes.

I actually researched it and Hydrangea isn't actually that poisonous, the scene in which they show his gramps eating it actually explains a few things if you read this :
Vomiting, depression, diarrhea. Cyanide intoxication is rare – usually produces more of a gastrointestinal disturbance.

^symptoms.

Old geezer probably eats the leaves to clean his ass lol. The process of making that mixture he made was probably needing the mild cyanide amount it has, as any other toxic plant would probably have too much or too little amount, keep in mind this is an ancient document so they probably didn't have a way to extract that from plants like modern medical science can. It can also explain why some of the old toxins and poisons that are renowned as being extremely dangerous can't be compared to modern ones, the ancient ones were far more dangerous because they used different ingredients than what is being used now. Probably assassins and ninjas were this effective due to unique ingredient doses. Modern poisons are less subtle and usually have pure substance in it, while ancient ones had some ingredients that could effectively enhance the effect quite considerably.

I think Rea wasn't as affected from the preview I seen but i dunno, i prefer not to see previews so I just forgot about it. I have a feeling there will be some flashbacks now and we will see if Rea was actually affected in episode 4.
I dunno, at any rate I'll be hunting OP/ED songs when i'm home.

yesterday watched first 2 eps and I am still not sure if I should go on watching this ting, because I already can see now main female character will anooy the hell of me. I mean she have no character to speak of and all the stuff she sais just sounds plain and boring even thou her story is a good one.

and why the hell male characters hair looks like he have 2 cat ears even in profile?

...Men are so necessarily mad that it would be another twist of madness not to be mad...

Cuz it's funnier this way, anyways, I agree that she has (thus far) poor character development, but we both agree on another thing, her back story is pretty damn good. However I would like to defend her character for now, I mean,

Without it she would probably be a pretty damn lively popular high school idol by now.

So there, we agreed with 3 things.
I was actually hoping you would watch this show harpy :3

well I do understand you wanting to defend her. She is cute by your standards ( I think) :D
But I have to disagree about how you defend her as :
(click to show/hide)
I am starting to suspect that anime makers no longer consider character characters (now that's found funny) to be important. Even with a good story anime still feels shallow and boring and "cheep".  So stop defending no character characters in anime!!!!

Well she stood up for herself in ep 3, even if for a little bit, she clearly is scared the shit of her father but I was like "YOU GOT WHAT YOU DESERVE!" after that scene.

Now I f-ken hate myself for not storing the eps till it ended and marathoning them, but hell, I like this show and can't wait for next ep.

Stop blaming anime producers for 'lack of character'. The anime is closely following the manga (even expands a bit on it – for now anyway), so if you truly feel the need to blame someone, blame the mangaka. However, I advise you to wait with your final judgment till you've seen more of the show, as Rea's zombification completely changes things around (and for the better).

I was more worried about his friend (cousin). . .I mean it was starting to rain and she was stuck in the rain pipes things. . .Im scared she might drown or something. . .
