HORROR: Evil videogames promoting environmentally friendly messages

At "safest source of energy there is" I laughed out loud. And what's wrong with the word "slaughter", it's the technical term for what happens to animals before they become hamburgers. Just who is fearmongering here?

It's like you are playing an eco-Hitler or something.... So they nailed at least one of the games as shitty.

Have you actually played the game? The entire point is 'what would you do to try and prevent the disastrous effects of global warming if you were in charge of the world?'. In the game you are elected to be in charge of this as the result of a major global treaty, and since all the different regions can pull out whenever they want if they feel you aren't doing a good job, I'd hardly call it 'illuminati style'.

In the case of Sim city, pollution has always been a factor in the game, and the fines thing makes a bit of sense (that happened in my city actually). However, I am against most forms and reasons for indoctrination of children. That I do agree with. As for this eco-hitler game...never heard of it, but I'd probably hate it.

I'm not really sure how the SimCity thing counts as 'indoctrination of children' either. It's just modelling what happens in reality - and local councils face plenty of fines etc for not meeting pollution targets, so it seems pretty accurate to me.

I only play games which are "violent" in nature. I've played a lot of them. Doesn't mean I go hitting people and/or killing them. You just need to keep in mind that Fiction =/= Reality.

It's one of those "I am glad I did not waste my money on it, but I regret wasting my bandwith on it while pirating" game. Did you miss the part of the game where you can hire a PMC (private military contractor) to pull off a coup and replace the government with the one that "likes you more"?
