Anyone wonder why it didn't penetrate her skull though? I mean it was really pointy and she fell on it with all her weight plus a good amount of speed as well.

I think it actually went through her neck... They just made it look like it went through her face.

Even though it was apparent that it was being pointer at her eye at least or headshot, it actually went on the neck.
Not necessarily killing her but probably it did. I didn't watch preview cuz I tend to avoid those like a plague, but in Japan some flowers are being given to express prayers for swift recovery.

I suspect she did survive, but she might not, they showed her arm and leg twitching and staying still on the stairs (re-watched) which could mean both that she indeed died and her body was just twitching, but could also mean she was well aware of what the hell happened and although probably in pain, she tried her best to remain still to lose as little blood as possible. Although unlikely after re-watching that episode, she could survive, but probably died.

People can survive worse things, although very rarely, and very very rarely. We will find out on Tuesday.

Ah, didn't notice that part, as you see it is pretty dark on that picture. Had impression that one of her eyes was the entry point due to the way glasses broke (and maybe some hint on how Misaka lost her eye?). But yeah, if it pierced the back of her neck, then the entry wound would be mouth or neck.... either way, the sound effect was gory enough to make the pain believable.

There is definitely a relationship with the dolls. They may very well represent the ones who have died and a new one added each time. I wonder if it has anything to do with the way they die. Guess we'll wait and see.

I'm pretty sure the dolls don't signify the person who will die, I may be wrong, but more the way the person will die. Well, with this one at least. When Sakaki was in the "doll house" and was talking to Mei, after they finished, the doll behind Sakaki fell to the floor onto it's face, somewhat. However, last episode with the umbrella girl, I don't really see what doll could have signified the death, other than the Mei doll.

My theory, if the belief that no one except Sakaki can see Mei holds, about Mei, is that anyone who has someone close to them die, such as umbrella girl finding out about her mother's death, is able to see Mei. But we still don't really know if everyone can actually see Mei.

I'm starting to think this is the case, but we still don't know if this is going to play out as the student dies after the person close to them or vise versa. I guess it could go either way. It may not be a prerequisite that a loved one has to be involved at all. Time will tell.

-She talked with Sakaki a few times and she avoided Mei's topic like a plague,
-she ran out without knowing her mother died, she only knew it was an accident,
-both deaths are REALISTIC,
-we know nothing about the dollhouse yet, other than the fact that the shopkeeper has Alzheimer.

After they killed the best character (Yukari), I don't give a damn who else they're going to kill. For all I care they can just kill off the entire cast. At least then it would be more entertaining to watch. However, if we're going to trust MAL, Another is scheduled for 12 eps so it needs to boost up kpe (kills per ep) for that to happen.

It seems every time someone acknowledges the existence of Mei, or starts to believe that she is actually there, they die. The first girl saw her, and she acknowledged her existence. The nurse believed she was real, so she died as well. I think Sakakibara won't die until it's all over, because he is the one who started it all. Looking good, and it seems like we'll be getting at least one death per episode. It's annoying me how they keep putting off the full story of what happened 26 years ago though.
