Someone notices the most obvious issue:
They keep telling him to uphold the rules, but how is he supposed to do it if he Doesn't know the damn rules ?

It's great that Mei exists, now I can root for her.

Also, my bet is that the dead student is this guy who is into the art club.

I don't think so, so far we know his father moved with him, and his aunt is actively talking with him. If he was dead but unaware and other see him and interact normally it wouldn't make sense much. We don't know much about other classmates so we probably need to wait a bit more, but he and Mei are probably 100% not guilty.
