Ugh. Had a great first 10 episodes, which had a great tense, suspenseful, mystery feel to it, and then...

It turned into Blood-C, or something. Essentially, turned into a crappy horror anime. I mean, after the chandelier fell and one guy ran out, was it really necessary for him to be crushed by a pillar? I understand that the curse makes death "gravitate" towards the class, but...

Also, while I suspected Mikami-sensei a little, I was slightly disappointed in the way it ended. They could have given us the information that Reiko and Mikami-sensei were the same person much earlier, and I don't think it would have detracted from the show or the suspense, and it would have given people that "AHA" moment they seem to seek.

All in all, it was probably the best horror/mystery anime I've seen in a while, so I'll give it an 8/10 or so, but....still. SMH at the ending.

And considering the help for next year, if they had any real intension of helping, they should use the girl's vision to just check out who it is.
Perhaps because they managed to stop the curse ?
Maybe it has something to do with who kills the dead person ?

It only matters if the curse begins. it happened in other years that if you just totally ignore one student it shouldn't start. I suspect that because the dead person wasn't a student that tactic was doomed from the start. However, it should still be functional if the dead person is a student. Then when the curse begins again the tape should help.

What an awful ending. Apparently they only knew how to make the deaths somewhat realistic... as the way they walked through the mansion without even a singed hair was hilarious. At that point I had given up caring about who the dead person was. Such wasted potential.

idiot, le terrible artist, psycho class prez, misaki, main pratogonist, asthma boy and thos who didn't went to school trip, plus some random characters from trip.

Well, at lest I will give 1 plus for this show, because dead person was not so obvious, and you couldn't say who is dead person till end.

The speculations of certain members in this thread were more interesting than the actual ending. Oh well, at least it's concluded.

Yeah, honestly I was really disappointed with this show. It was oozing with potential, and the first couple of episodes were great and really managed to create a slightly creepy atmosphere, and built up the tension well, but then it began to get progressively more and more ridiculous, to the point where the final couple of episodes were actually laugh-out-loud funny at times, when they should have been shocking and terrifying.

It was still an enjoyable enough show, but it completely and utterly failed to live up to my expectations. It had so much potential as well. All in all, I'd rate it 5/10.

well, i'm gonna jump on the bandwagon this time and agree it was a bit of a ridiculous ending, but somewhat predictable with so many side character students lingering around they just needed to be gotten rid of. What was good was that it kept you guessing who the dead person was right to the end, which i always like about shows; predictable endings are kind of bland unless the lead up is very good. This lead up was average, but last scene pretty good.

i wasn't really happy with that ending but i wasn't expecting his sister/assistant teacher, w/e you wanna call her to be the extra. i thought that they might uncover something more, deeper or even solve the whole thing. so it never happened again, but we end up with just an ending for that year. so in all a bunch of people died and nothing really changed because the same thing might happen next year, and so on. i'm not missing anything right?

Though I have to admit, I seen better on sankaku, them two having actual sexual intercourse in the middle of class

Was pretty damn lulzy not just seeing them doing it but the awkward faces everyone around had

It's still regrettable that the dance part was only in his head, if they actually did it the ratings would hit the roof and they could actually do a real comedy horror from this.

Apparently the people on Sankaku think this was a great show.... because of the finale?

I don't understand, to be honest. The rest of this show was decent at best, and then the finale was just stupid. I think the highlight of it for me was, "Hey, let me stop in the middle of a hallway in a burning building to dial someone."

Well, considering how badly it was directed, all the potential was wasted, the only good episode was the first one. After that it all went to shits. Seeing gruesome deaths should have been horrifying but it was so hilariously broken that it wasn't very funny.

If they made it into a horror comedy, it could have redeemed itself, but the direction sucked even with the indication that it could be funny.

Best suspense was in the first episode, and the best comedy was the daydream he had about Mei and him dancing in the middle of the class. Everything else was worse than HorribleSubs trolling, and THAT is an achievement in itself.

I winder if it's based on a manga or a LN, if the former i'll check how badly raped was the plot, and if the latter, I highly doubt a story made this badly was done into an anime unless they went original. Which they probably did.

If this is an original story, I wonder what the script is like, cuz I am fairly sure this is a fine example of someone's work being trampled just like Kirino's novel was about to be in the LN (Ore Imouto Light Novel).

Generally speaking, this could have been great, if they took it seriously.

Exactly this is what I thought of it. Episode 11's pacing was abysmal, and completely took me out of it. "Building on fire? Walk casually. Person with knife? Shoulder bump them out of the way." Ep 12 was a little bit better, but still had bad pacing. Ending was good though, still would recommend the series to alot of people.

If you felt the ending was a bit lacking, I suggest you read the manga. I felt the ending of the show was morbid for the sake of being morbid. It tried to shock the viewer too much, and the experience was dumbed down from that of the manga. The manga had a slightly happier ending, which though a bit tacky feeling, had a lot more depth. But, hey, for a single season show, Another really captivated me more then anything else this season.
