I love how Sankaku care more about what cup size Mei's actress is than whether she's any good at acting or not - no mention about previous films etc she's starred in at all. Speaks volumes about that site, really.

hmm, i think we forgot something here.
Did anyone actually think any parts of this were scary? or were we too busy intellectualizing the reality of the situations, that we thought, because it seemed unrealistic, it wasn't scary at all.

Why would it be scary. Horror tends to be more what the characters feel than what the viewer feels.

I find When They Cry series more scarier than this

But Another did a pretty good job with the dark atmosphere with the exception of the last 2 episodes which was just plain silly

Why would it be scary. Horror tends to be more what the characters feel than what the viewer feels.

i thought horror was meant to scare the audience, that being the main attraction point? isn't thriller more about what the characters feel? maybe i'm just mixed up here.
if it is what the characters feel, misaki and sakakibara didn't seem all that scared

they kinda messed up when 2nd character died, and it went form good to bad whit every episode. Well some eps where nice, but still ...

everyone is walking in a burning house, while their classmates being killed, as if it was a walk in a park.

"is that blood?"
"yeah.."
*chat a bit more and then continue walking slowly*

*hears a scream*
"who was that?"
"teshigawara"
*more useless talk*
"let's check it out"

and it keeps going like that..

Things like these could have been easily avoided. Why mess up in the end?

They were under constant stress because of the curse thing. Lots of their classmates (and not only them) died already and they were blinded by they will to survive above all. Their behavior isn't that much unbelievable (though it's funny).

Honestly, I found the premise, the plot, the characters, and the rather close to Higurashi style of character death, rather unappealing. However, the effects of the physical actions taken place (IE:

to be the focal point of why I enjoyed it.

I personally enjoy the darker series, but in this, despite it's faults, it still held some rather captivating ways of showing the actions, rather than the cliche action we get in most of anime.

As for the live action, honestly I expect it to be crap. It just doesn't have the plot, nor the essence that a live action requires to be more than decent. So I don't really have any hopes for it, probably watch it regardless though.

em.. spoilers ahead I guess....

Watched it a week or two ago and not I had to strain my memory to remember what that thing was about, but I remembered the nice bloody scenes and they way they all started to kill each other. The story did smuggest that that would have been a reasonable conclusion, but anime did not show it in a way that it all became reasonable just messy and stupid

oh well...nice bloody scenes sometimes is enough for a good time

There are two mangas hanging in BBT. If you're interested, read them up. Both are related to this series. The OAD/OVA will be released this month (May).
