ohhh fuck ... you could tell the needle on that umbrella is sharp ... i knew it was going to do something, but they've done such ... a creepy, awesome job .. so here's how my thoughts were going ...

The shop he was in, the old lady said no one is here besides him as a customer. She was down stairs. The freaking floor 4 in the hospital is bugging the shit out of me. The elevator going up while the nurse is on the phone talking about Misaki (really creepy, like someone is going after her cu'z she knows stuff).

I also get few things. His mother was in class 3 in the year Misaki existed or afterwards, in which she had some type of connection to her so she passed down her genes (probably?) to her child ... in which because HE was the only one who saw her, everyone else can't. He keeps talking about her, eventually ... people will start seeing her. I'm pretty close to that extent so far.

On episode 4.

I see you didn't watch the OVA (Episode 00). And you did a good thing. I highly recommend NOT to watch it before finishing the original show.
You have some nice ideas and hints. I thought exactly the same thb.

It's because the word for four (shi) is pronounced very similarly to the word for death (shin). Yep. It's why they have alternate pronunciations for 4 (shi is also yon) and 7 (shichi is also nana) too.

I agree completely really wish there could be more to this but I doubt that would happen since it was only 1 novel. (unless of course the novels story was longer some how LOL) Ive not found much else with such a strong atmosphere.

Pretty good show and ya like what you said, I was expecting a creepy ending but turned out to be a normal story. Well, just the very last episode at least. The OVA was really good. Damn P.A. Works did a fantastic job once again. There were so much natural detail in the characters, besides the amazing theatrical graphics they have.

Well ... I'm looking forward to Tari Tari and their new under-development work. Oh yea, Another 2 novel or the manga is in product, no announcement for the anime thou'. Here's the thing, it's really hard to pick up where Another left off ... if so, they'd have to do it around our era, not a decade ago or the second choice is to make a whole new story based on a whole new events.

I downloaded Another's artbook, I have both mangas. I wish I had the energy and motivation to read manga in general ...

I gotta go to sleep now.

This show had a lot of potential but it was largely wasted after the first 2 episodes, it could have been much more morbid and dark, but the atmosphere was completely wasted. At the very least they didn't spoil who was "it" until the conclusion.

Yeah if the ending was creepy it would be an epic show. They should have just killed off all of 'em. But if there is a continuation I would like to watch it.

Talking about Tari Tari, it is reall good. One of the bests this season.

Perfect for BD. It's like Final Destination with anime/japanese twist. At first I thought Mei is the antagonist, a ghost or an omen. I stopped at episode 4. The umbrella and elevator incident didn't wow me. I thought the curse is only limited to class 3-3 or the students of that school, the nurse wasn't even a student there. Why let the curse live for 26 years when you can just abandon the classroom or remove class3-3. Is there are an explanation for this? It's kinda illogical.

Here is why it would have paid to watch on, as the anime reveals why people seemingly unrelated to class 3-3 die. I'm not sure if you intend to watch on, or if you have done so already, but it all makes sense once you know how the curse goes around.

Why let the curse live for 26 years

No one knows how to properly stop the curse once and for all. All that's known is how to prevent the curse from taking effect or how to stop it once it's started. Plus, they didn't expect it to happen. It started as a tribute to a dead classmate, and turned into something much worse.

It's said that this doesn't work. I forgot the details, though, so you'll have to figure that out yourself.

They moved classroom from the old to the new building, and also tried changing the classroom name from a number to a letter, so essentially removing the class and replacing it with another.

Also, telling people on the outside seems to have its complications in regards to memory wipes, that's how I rationalised it anyway.

I never found the show to be creepy or gut wrenching at any point in the series. As a matter of fact I though it was very moe and cute. I though Mei was soo cute, the tension was forced and and you always saw the deaths coming. I prefer manga end.
