Anyway, I noticed Coalgirls finished their release of this anime. Unless there is a better quality release I'm sticking to it.

Just got finished watching this is nearly one sitting, kinda sad, but it was a really good anime with the right amount of creepiness and "What the hell is really going on?" Never saw the ending coming.

Chibiki is the long time librarian, is he such a hikki librarian? He doesn't know the death/funeral of Reiko? He even acknowledge her existence. I have to re-watch that part if Reiko's parents know her existence, her father muttered 'so many deaths' may only refer one of his daughters. Wikia's speculation is the killer of Reiko is Izumis' brother, looks like Kouchi, bleh. Need to read the manga sometime.

Which groups release did you watch? Was the quality good?

But what I'm still super lost on is after the credits roll why and how is it Mochizuki and Teshigawara that have recorded the message and are hiding it. I thought no one remembered the death except for Sakikabara and Mei. Probably overthinking it, but something about that scene seems really off. Anyone else get that?

They may not remember details like Reiko, but remember the calamity as a whole and it having happened?

I kinda wondered why they had to hide it at all, as opposed to displaying it somewhere completely obvious; then again when dealing with the supernatural, the author's imagination would have been the limit - any plot devices deemed boring would be countered somehow. Still makes you wonder.

I love how the author puts twists and inserts like in the final ep. Chibiki said like "This isn't normal" and "Yeah, I forgot she was dead, our memories are altered" and how calm the characters are. They feel like they are only walking in the park while people are dying and the place is burning. There's a hint in the last part like a next sequel but I guess the novel is done.

Finished watching this yesterday. I have to say i really liked the show, But i felt that Sakakibara and the other main cast didnt get shocked/scared enough after all of these deaths, you would expect a 15 years old being afraid after seeing these gruesome deaths of his friends.

And while the OVA didnt have much of actions it made me pretty sad.
