Original Crysis coming for consoles

So CryEngine3 instead of CryEngine2? I doubt the PS3 have enough power to really do everything Crysis offers. Though by the looks of the trailer, there's quite a bit of high-end graphics included. It seems the trailer delivered by Crytek is having its problems with ghosting which really makes it hard to compare. I did notice a screenshot comparison of a PC maxed out and the 360 and the difference was monumental.

I might get this just to be able to play through the final level and seeing what actually happened. Keyword being might.

Don't like how they sold out? Yeah, sadly it happens.

Blame developers for doing this. I however already played the first Crysis on PC... so I have no need for this on my PS3. *

Imagine how much fun it will be when 30% of all titles will be remakes. Instead of sequels as now. :p (Though I am still waiting on Homeworld 3 and Dota 2.)

I doubt it will ever get that high... plus remakes can be enjoyed by people who have maybe never played the originals? I bought the God of War 1&2 pack because I never played those games on the PS2.

lolololol, now Cervat Yerli is even trolling the consoleros. He said with the CryEngine3 Crysis 1 will look better than the PC version! Better look my ass!

I don't care if they sold out or not, personally I suggest that Crytek stops making games all together.

Why? because if they spend their time making an awesome engine and sell it, some other developers can actually make a good storyline and game play using that engine. Besides if you are going to make a shooter, don't make one in Germany, otherwise we get no blood and the corpses become ethereal sprites that can't be interacted with.

But hey, if they think they can cash in on a several years old port, go ahead.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I don't know... Crysis, Warhead, and 2 weren't really story hard. In 2 I just wanted to kill some motherfucking aliens in New York.

[If] they spend their time making an awesome engine and sell it, some other developers can actually make a good storyline and game play using that engine.

I think that's what they're doing now. Say what you will about the quality of their games – I have no solid opinion on Crysis; I've only played about half of the first game – Crytek's games are, first, a demonstration of the engine that powers them, and I think Crytek will continue to make games as long as they need to encourage licensing. And they always need to encourage licensing.

Epic demonstrates this well. UE3 is probably the most prevalent game engine of the past several years, but Epic still make games. They also make games in part to sell their engine, but the equation is different; they make games in part to keep momentum in their engine. I can't speak to the merits of any game engine compared to another. I'm not a graphics programmer. But I see Crytek's games first as demonstrations. They might be great games, but they are essential for selling CryEngine.

The "trolololl Crysis is just a tech demo" meme got old the day it was invented, and it's almost 2012 now (in truth it actually is a good game, certainly better than Call of Duty). Try to come up with something more original.

What are you talking about? There is blood and ragdoll physics in Crysis. Do you even know what a sprite is?

The Crysis 2 engine, is crap, so they are just demonstrating how crap their engines are?

On the contrary, I think CryEngine is pretty nice. Crytek make games to promote it. What better way is there to convince developers that your engine is worth using? Crytek's games might be great. They might also be awful games; I haven't played enough of them to know. They're not just tech demos, no. But they are tech demos.

There's a super-duper d3d11 "patch" for PC. Doesn't change the fact that Crytek is whoring itself out though.
All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out.

Got anything to support claim? I mean besides the "hurr, durr, I am a retard" comment like the one in the quote above.

Crysis for me was a way to measure my PC's power in FPS. I went through the first game and it was ok. Never got the second one.

First one was better... on PC. I've seen the screens of the console versions and it honestly just looks like Crysis on medium-low settings. It's very low res too.
