It seems like the last few years, the weather extremes in central FL have varied more than usual. I mean anecdotally, of course; I don't have any hard data to back it up, just my imperfect memory. It's normally colder in February than in December, and it's not unusual to be outside sweating in shorts & Tshirts around the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. The last few summers have been brutal (seems like almost every day in July & August this year the temperatures were 96+F), and conversely there have been more cold snaps in during winter the last few years than I remember before that.
Of course it could be just that I notice this stuff more now that I have a house & a big-ass lawn to take care of.
