We've had a much cooler weekend here in North Carolina, and that chill seems set to continue. It's a nice break from the humidity. And the leaves have started changing. I hope to welcome autumn with apple picking, but that assumes we can find the place this year. We tried to pick apples last year but instead took a three-hour drive following some poor directions—this year, we'll bring the person who gave us those directions for retribution or insurance, depending how you look at it.
But I'm happy to get autumn out of the way and see winter. It doesn't snow much here, and I have come to think that an advantage. Wishing for snow is much more fun than actually having it season-round. (Maybe just a couple weeks of it, though, please?)
