Nisemonogatari

TwEeD:
I can understand ... but reading Kizumonogatari really shines a different light on the  Araragi x Shinobu relationship

Things like "I will never forgive you and you will never forgive me" said in Nisemonogatari really make sense when you know the story behind it

Actually Kizumonogatari gives much explanations about the Araragi x Hanekawa & Araragi x Shinobu relations ... when it's out i'm sure a lot of people will rewatch Bakemonogatari & Nisemonogatari to truly understand what the dialogues are about

That's why I love it, it's not something that is simplified but something you got to discover yourself bit by bit with what the monogatari series gives you

*edit* Yeah Katanagatari is so NisiOisiN ... the dialogue is superb and while the ending can be pretty let down for some people I found it really deep. Unconventional is the best way to describe it, yet it parodies/follows so much conventions, truly a work of art. The end of episode 11

(click to show/hide)"Right now, at this instant, the final Deviant Blade that Shikizaki Kiki forged
Kyoutou Yasuri—is now Perfected. Nay, Completed."
ranks in my top anime moments ever. Everything was perfect ... the premise, the dialogue and certainly the music. Every time I watch it my hair raises and I can't control my emotions.

Havoc10K:
I agree, dialog, action, and it's lack in some point. Everything perfectly calculated.
I know a lot of people didn't really like the story, but personally, it's a one of a kind Katana Story.

The best thing in fact was the relationship and loyalty, and following the path to complete her revenge.
That story is a lot more romantic than most people notice, which is sad because so many people watched it for the witty dialogs and the action so they completely and blatantly missed the romantic atmosphere nearly in every episode.

And the final episode had the culmination of the romance that so many viewers completely missed.

I also wait for Kizumonogatari, from Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari you can nearly easily figure out the relationship between Araragi and Hanekawa and also Shinobu and Araragi, but that is all due to what we hear and read believing in the accuracy of given information, and as we know, we know very little about that.

I'll probably re-watch Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari (the latter for lulz mostly but who wouldn't?) right before watching Kizumonogatari.

TwEeD:
For me Katanagatari: it's a real beauty when you somewhat understand where the beauty lies. The ending episode is truly epic because of the journey up until then and it isn't about the conclusion but really about what has been before. For me it embodies the Japanese sense of beauty, can't really explain it well though as I can bring what I feel under words.

As for Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari I rather re-watch them after ... Kizumonogatari gives a lot of answers to the "mysteries" in them ... it's not that big but just gives a justification/reason as how things turn out in both series. I'm sure even if you re-watch it before you will still re-watch it after to see it under a different light.

Clannad_92:

/continued giggles/
