Nisemonogatari

Malakai0:
Missed it last week so I just watched 3 and 4. Freaking awesome. No other anime ever (besides its predecessor of course) can own so much with 95% talking.

Needs way way more Shinobu btw.. this weeks was a good start. Ive always wanted to know more about her story, and how araragi became a vampire. I suppose its detailed in one of the novels, bakemonogatari only touched on it lightly so.

(click to show/hide)for instance, in ep4 they talked about how araragi could 'never forgive her' for what happened, but I thought he volunteered his blood to her to save her life? And also there was supposed to have been some inter-vampire fighting that was touched on in bakemonogatari before araragi was 'cured', would love to see more of that too.
And this weeks ep totally owned, needs more shinobu in the bathtub heh

YES this is what I wanted to hear!

Meant to hit edit sorry.

Bob2004:
Malakai0, the story of how he became a vampire is detailed in Kizumonogatari, which was the first book. There's a full English translation now on Baka-tsuki, and there's also film of it, which IIRC released in Japanese cinemas in November or so, and should come out on blu-ray at some point this year (I'm really looking forward to it). It's a reasonably good book, worth a read (though the film might well be better).

Malakai0:
Thanks for info, I actually just finished reading about it on ANN before I hit refresh on this page.

Definitely looking forward to a fansub of the movie. The little flashes of araragi's vampire summer from ep1 of bakemonogatari were awesome.

Never heard of baka-tsuki before, thanks much, now I'm going to spend the next weeks reading a ton of stuff from there. Bah I want a new kindle3, I hate reading on the pc. Reading books & manga on it was so awesome...

I know, but when I posted that, I had only seen two. I just caught up to ep4, and I must say I'm super excited that the director wants to animate the rest of the monogatari series because it has to be one of the best anime I've seen that can keep my attention even tho its 95% talking.
