New computer being built for upcoming PC titles!

Tamarin, you like consoles, you want a new PC, so here is a solution that will fulfil all your wishes:

As you can see, you get both a monster rig for your PC games and a watercooled Xbox 360 (PS3 available as an optional console)... All in one! ;)
On a more serious note, any reason why you chose AMD CPU over Intel? I ask because it seems like AMD has been lagging behind Intel ever since Core 2 Duo was released.
I am actually also upgrading my rig. Ordered an Intel i7 2600 (sandy bridge) 3,4 Ghz, a fitting motherboard for it and
CORSAIR DDR3 8GB Kit which is 1600MHz. In my case the dilemma was the fact that the motherboard supports 2133Mhz ram, but it is much more expensive.

Because AMD is half the cost of intel? ::)

Intel stomps over AMD in terms of pure performance. AMD however doesn't lag far behind (if it's not leading) in performance/price.

What the fuck is that? That's like frankenputer... O.O
Anyways, AMD is significantly cheaper than Intel in price to performance. The 1055T X6 that I went is knee deep in Xeon territory... but Xeon processors are far more expensive than the X6 series from AMD. So no, I don't have an i7 processor that can take over the world, but I do have a processor that it quite powerful... powerful enough to keep up with an i7 980X at a fraction of the cost. Who wants to spend $1000 on a CPU anyways? My entire setup that I bought cost me $500 and I'll be able to play games at max setting for at least a year or two. The RAM on the other hand... DDR 1600 doesn't SEEM to be better than the 1333 in my price range (1800 and 2133 are a different story)... but regardless, my mobo can OC the Corsair RAM to DDR 1600 speeds anyways.

does this mobo support all of Thuban's features (e.g. Turbo Core)?
Compatibility is one thing. Optimal performance is another.

It works and I can OC to 3.0 GHz with an aftermarket Fan/heatsink (which I already picked out) to optimal performance... :P

::) Ummm, It works, trust me.

How does it work? I'm really curious about that. My friend bought a 2.1 card when his mobo was 2.0 and it didn't work.

You can put a 2.1 card into a 1.1 slot and it will work, just at the 1.0/1.1 speeds. If it does not then there is a different problem causing it.
