What game are you looking foward to the most this winter?

I think SWTOR will be avoiding a disaster that it is only thanks to "star wars" IP, this video is the dullest gameplay video of an upcoming game I have seen this year.

You didn't like that gameplay? Seriously? Eh, I thought it was pretty cool. And yes.. MMO KOTOR is always a good thing in my book.

Movements and animations were dull (everyone was standing still), UI was WOW, and graphics were KOTOR, which would be a good thing if KOTOR wasn't an 8 year old game. KOTOR was good because it was a single player, you were "the hero", not "a hero" which, to be fair, is an issue with any MMO out there, but it is the reason why I don't see "MMO version of KOTOR" as a good thing.

So is your good idea? I think it would be cool to be a Jedi or Trooper and be part of a world that is Star Wars. Yeah, it doesn't look stunning, but that's to get a lot of people into the game. I mean, only time will tell with that game.

I used to play an Officer class in SWG.... Hey by that time's standard it was a good concept, well... a buggy game, but a good concept. From seeing things revealed in SWTOR, I feel like some game mechanics have never moved forward during the last decade or two. Same static combat, a bunch of people standing still reducing each other healthbars while a healer plays "wack em all" with friendly healthbars. In some ways it is actually worse than SWG, like fewer classes and more restrictive gameplay.
So if the SWG servers would still be running, I would rather play that game.
