What game are you looking foward to the most this winter?

Cause it's one of the most pointless mechanics. There is always at least ONE level where you HAVE to sprint to get to the checkpoint. It's like "Run, run, run!" "God damn it! I'm fat... can't I just shoot people in the face instead of running away?"
It's so annoying. I'll avoid running in FPSs for that very reason of it being a useless game mechanic that synthetically creates "excitement."

Dark Souls and Batman both come out in October! Which is why I was saddened to not see it on the list.

I have, but you didn't specify WHICH FPS games (and besides, not sprinting is usually running in games (and walking is a separate mode)). ::)
