yea i am actually thinking about picking one up myself once the not champagne ones are in stock ill grab that and the lil keyboard jawns for it

Wait for the 700. It'll have a 1920x1200 screen, and better wireless signal strength (mine can hardly pick up GPS, and WiFi can be spotty).

well but still, i hardly see any 1080p monitors below 21", if they start shipping out 1080p 15" monitors that'd be sweet, though i might prefer 1440p 21" monitors.

though i got a hunch that these 1080p tablets is a gimmick, rather than it being indeed 1080p it just supports 1080p externally.

No the actual screen resolution will be 1920x1200, not just the maximum output.

I would have paid that amount. You're not going to find a laptop in that price range that is as fluid as a tablet nor one with as large a screen (1920x1200).

for that price though you could've picked up an i5+decentGPU for a laptop, some designs kinda has a "turn the screen around and make it function like a tablet" or the likes.

once you throw another 150 on there for the lil keyboard dock thing for the extra battery and all you can definitely find a really nice laptop for 800-900

Am using the Galaxy Tab 10.1, 720p anime just chokes the shit out of it.
The soft-subs I think is what's making it hard. Not much settings you can tweak for the MX player.

i'm gonna hijack this thread a bit...

well if i remember correctly theres a few people here who owns E-350 rigs, if i may ask, how far can you stretch your playbacks using DDR3 1333 CL9(well ram does affect the IGP)? i mean can you guys play Hi10P 1080p with a reasonable bitrate?

well the reason for this is because theres a couple of E-450 laptops loitering around dirt cheap, which should be better than E-350, and been wanting one for a portable player, i mean it is better than carrying a rig around the house in contrast to carrying a laptop and plugging the thing via HDMI.

I just tested the bsplayer on my hp touchpad running ICS. And 720p anime plays almost without error, And the bs.player I tested there was none of the arm vfp to get more power out of it as not supported on the touchpad. But the player was smooth and could read from samba shares perfectly.

I got gifted a Kindle Fire and it plays 720p mkv fine with the right sideloaded software. It's kind of a pain to transfer stuff too and from, though. Pretty much have one transferring while watching another, and delete what I've already watched. For some reason none of the players I've tried successfully steam stuff or require manually typing the full share path for every file.

Currently all the movie players I know of for android are kind of lacking.
