A good Tablet for watching unconverted anime (.mkv,.avi, 720/1080)?

Is it just me, but I am still interested in what the OP is using now.

I don't know of any other players for Android/iOS/Kindle/etc which can do that (though I'm sure there must be a few by now).

MX Player supports 10-bit.
I watched Oreimo (http://bakabt.me/161799-ore-no-imouto-ga-konna-ni-kawaii-wake-ga-nai-720p-10-bit-ane.html)
I have the asus transformer prime.

Are you sure MX player supports 10bit? I'm still getting color errors and artifacts when I try playing several different 10bit files.

I can though play 720p mkv anime on my Transformer prime perfectly, even over the wifi which I'm very happy about. Only file I have had problems with is a 1080p Code Geass, but I think that is just because it is very high bitrate, It only stutters a little bit so I'm hoping that can be fixed in the future.

Dunno about Prime. But on the TF101, when i play this DICE player shows artifacting, while MX player plays it back properly. It's very slow to the point of being unwatchable on the TF101 but the Prime may have enough power to run.

On the other hand, does this reflect on the power the tablets these days? What's the CPU requirement needed to play back 10bit in software mode? Core2Duo's right? So does that mean that if the Prime can also run 10bit in software mode (There's nor hardware support for 10bit) that it's now as powerful as a Core2Duo?

I guess Ill have to give the 10bit files another go. You cant really compare the two cpus as they have completely different command sets that are better at some things and worse at others plus some hardware may be used even in software mode. But no I doubt 4 1.4ghz arm cores could out perform say a 2.8ghz core2duo in computational power.

Rather than downloading the whole series in the link i gave, there's a file there "[ANE] Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai - Full Length Opening [BDRip 720p x264 Vorbis].mkv" that's only 150MB, that i can attest does work on the TF101 MX Player, and you can try it on the Prime. Also let me know if it's playable on the Prime. It's lag city on the TF101.
