A good Tablet for watching unconverted anime (.mkv,.avi, 720/1080)?

The only caveat is the 16GB memory. But this is easily remedied by rooting the tablet (takes about 10 minutes to root it, lots of guides on the net)  and getting a OTG USB cable and a USB memory stick. This lets you mount the memory stick as an external drive. I have a 64GB memory stick so I have a total of 80GB of available storage.

Have you read manga on it at all?
I'm curious to know how bad/good it might be to read manga on a 7" screen.

Its been great for manga. The screen size is perfect. Images and text are sharp and easy to read. I've never felt the need to zoom in to read anything. Also the size of the tablet is comfortable to hold. I've been using the SCViewer app for manga.

I picked up a ASUS transformer Infinity yesterday and I love it. THe screen is beautiful and it seems to handle what few 1080p items I have thrown at it.

EDIT: playback is better than my asus eeepc netbook, and a nicer screen too boot. I may just sell my netbook.

Got an iPad 3 for work (Boss got tired of me continiously calling him to test a site on his iPad). But didn't know what to do with it outside of testing my sites, i figure i'll give it a try anyway. The thing about my videos is that they're spread across several PC's through shared folders. But most of them are on the routers harddrive.

Videos that played fine on my TF300 wouldn't play on the iPad, will play but no sound, or stutter badly. I'm using OPlayer Lite but wondering if anybody can recommend an alternative. The player has to be able to play videos over SAMBA.

Best player so far for anime and movies in general is mxplayer, only one that does 10-bit correctly. A TF700 or TF300 is probably the best tablet, TF300 is basically a slower lower res version of the TF700. I got the 64gb TF700 for 460 and the dock for the TF201 is compatable with the TF700 so i got it for 100. also if you want to compare HDD space

That just screams "I have no life!" to me.
