--- Quote ---Based on the latest developments in neuro-technology, Emotiv has developed a revolutionary new personal interface for human computer interaction. The Emotiv EPOC is a high resolution, neuro-signal acquisition and processing wireless neuroheadset. It uses a set of sensors to tune into electric signals produced by the brain to detect player thoughts, feelings and expressions and connects wirelessly to most PCs.

Freedom Kira:
What, you haven't seen this yet?
xfreidax:
^ No I haven't seen that before. That's awesome! ;D
But it's kinda scary if you think about it. If they can read electric signals produced by the brain remotely now, how long before they can interpret thought based on those signals?
rostheferret:
The foundations for this has been around for decades I think? They use - now antiquated - machines for those with full body paralysis to offer yes or no responses to aid with diagnosis in some rare cases. Have done for ages. Takes a little time to get used to apparently, but you basically "think upwards" for yes and "think downwards" for no and it'll move a dot on a screen. Technology must have moved on since then...
This is an article about it released in 1974 :-\
