Dark Souls is out! Possibly hardest game ever

at least some of the reviews are saying it's that hard.  it's actually scaring me from buying it.  i don't want to die 200 times.  i get pissed easy.

I've got it on preorder, I loved Demon's Souls and I died quite a lot.

The number of deaths you'll be having is dependant on how fast a learner you are.

Been playing a lot of Demon's Souls lately just to practice for this one...

But honestly, I kinda feel like no amount of preparation can get you ready for this game.

Hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

Never played the first game... but I kept hearing how difficult it was and Dark Souls being infinitely more difficult. Then I saw it was classified as an action/RPG so... hell yes. Looking forward to something challenging!

Lol. If it's anything like Demon's Souls then it's not THAT hard. I mean sure, harder than your avarage game but not insanely hard. I didn't find Demon's Souls as hard as I expected (though it got big plus from me for being fair). Ninja Gaiden Black, now THAT'S hard. Hell, Ninja Gaiden trilogy on NES was harder than DS.

Lol. If it's anything like Demon's Souls then it's not THAT hard. I mean sure, harder than your avarage game but not insanely hard. NGB was unfair hard. It's a thing called 3 hits and your dead with cheap enemy surrounds. Demon's Souls was hard because you had to be on your toes with blocking and riposting at the right times. Basically, if you played the game ULTRA conservative (blocking all the time, rolling out of enemy charges, etc)... then you will die a minimal amount of the time. However, when I saw minimal, I mean like a 100 times. There are times in Demon's Souls when I just died, revived... got my souls back only to die again by a single non-boss mob. That game was so fun because I thought to myself "Well, I did it wrong this time... so only improvement from here!"

Some people in Japan got copies before the street date. So what the developers did was that they put a level 99 Soul Hunter or something with maxed out stats in every direction you can go at the beginning of the game. It's basically impossible to defeat and one hit kills you. It was their way of saying "Don't play me until the official release."
