Dark Souls is out! Possibly hardest game ever

I haven't played for months, but the last time I played, it still worked (fuckers kept escaping my BlueBlood Swordsman).

Lol. If it's anything like Demon's Souls then it's not THAT hard. I mean sure, harder than your avarage game but not insanely hard. I didn't find Demon's Souls as hard as I expected (though it got big plus from me for being fair). Ninja Gaiden Black, now THAT'S hard. Hell, Ninja Gaiden trilogy on NES was harder than DS.

NGB was unfair hard. It's a thing called 3 hits and your dead with cheap enemy surrounds. Demon's Souls was hard because you had to be on your toes with blocking and riposting at the right times. Basically, if you played the game ULTRA conservative (blocking all the time, rolling out of enemy charges, etc)... then you will die a minimal amount of the time. However, when I saw minimal, I mean like a 100 times. There are times in Demon's Souls when I just died, revived... got my souls back only to die again by a single non-boss mob. That game was so fun because I thought to myself "Well, I did it wrong this time... so only improvement from here!"

Wasn't that something about their creative copy protection? That the game becomes almost impossible to play because of the difficulty when it detects pirated version?

I think I read something about it somewhere.

Some people in Japan got copies before the street date. So what the developers did was that they put a level 99 Soul Hunter or something with maxed out stats in every direction you can go at the beginning of the game. It's basically impossible to defeat and one hit kills you. It was their way of saying "Don't play me until the official release." :P
