So, the new iphone 4S was revealed earlier today,
TBH The new keynote speakers arent even close to being close to the shoes of Steve Jobs, and Tim Cook has some huge shoes to fill. . .anyways other than the speakers themselves, the conference went pretty smoothly and I must say that SiRi system. . .pretty damn nice!

TBH I was expecting more things, I guess thats why its the iPhone 4S and not the iPhone5, they havent really "revolutionized" anything. . .other than ur regular upgrades. . .

still probably the most awesome thing is that SiRi, everything else seems pretty "apple-ish" and not too impressive. . .

So first off, the fact some of your ellipse carry onto the next line annoys the hell outta me, and why the spaces between?
Anyways, it didn't do much for me, but I'm not a big Apple fan. Of course no one will be able to do half as good as Steve Jobs did, that whole company was his life, he built it. It's like translating someone's code, it's always gunna be a struggle until you understand their style.
Bad analogy I know.

SiRi is pretty cool, but it will not work as well as it says, cause let's face it, nothing ever does. Battery life is a good example of that. It's not really a NEW idea, not even a new application as for a while every phone had that "talk to call" function, it never really worked either. Instead of having it as that feature no one used, Apple is trying to push it to the front by integrating it into it's base features in hopes people fall in love with it.

All in all, nothing new Apple, shocker.

you guys do realize steve didnt do any damn much when it comes to the design of the actual product right? all he does is "gimme a cell thats new and clicks the market before xx-xx-xxxx or i'll fire you all!"...

I'm more likely to believe they're pulling a "shittay" during this period of "death" and will wait later to actually do a media escapade.

People expecting iPhone 5? I laughed at them for like 2 months now. I told them they'd get an announcement at best in October and not an official release of a phone. I don't know whether to say the 4S is evidence against me, or salt in the wounds of those who wanted it.

Steve Jobs doesn't have to design something. He has something that few other CEOs have that makes a company successful. This is the same Steve Jobs that bought Pixar in the early days of that company and stuck with it, losing money in the process. Where's Pixar now?

As for the 4S, I heard it uses an 8 core Nehalem chip from intel

I wont even look at another iPhone until they get rid of that whole "everything needs to be done through iTunes" bullshit.

If they make it so I can just plug it into my computer and just drag and drop stuff right to and from whatever folder I want it in, I might consider giving them another chance in the future.

Android is sooo much easier for moving music, videos and manga in and out that it would take a whole lot for me to go back. I admit, I do at times miss the fact that I found the iPhone slightly more user friendly in most of its actual OS/system functions, but anything that involved putting something on or taking something off was always a headache.

I did have a good giggle at everyone on Twitter who moaned about it not being the iPhone 5. Some of them buy every version and I don't know why.

I'm gonna stick with my 3GS for now. I like the iphone but this one still works fine and I don't feel the need to upgrade just because everyone else is. Just paying this one off has cost me an arm and a leg.

In all honesty, I doubt I'd ever get an iPhone, I don't like how they work and they cost way too much cause of their constant desire to be connected to the internet. Useful, but I'm a University student, I don't have the money for that right now=(

This phone is three months too late, even Samsung boss was laughing. Samsung are really pushing themselves onto the market with the three new tabs, the Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S2 HD, Samsung Galaxy Note and now the Samsung nexus with google.

But Samsung have always been doing this releases a barrage of phones from cheap to smart phones especting to dominate the market but all they do is create a loss of value on their phones, the prices drops considerably whilst Apple's prices retain it's weight.

I don't see HTC anywhere these days.

I'm with you there. I know that iTunes gives Apple great control over what people do with their pocket-sized devices, but I don't want to keep iTunes around just for them. And what happens if you want to grab music from a friend's machine? Oops, sorry, you need to download iTunes first.

I want to hear what becomes of that 4S-nehalem slip. It's a harmless mistake, but if people made a big deal of premature Angry Birds, surely Apple isn't immune. Then again, fewer people would recognize the nehalem core shot.

Anyway, the iPhone 4S doesn't surprise me—looks like this is Apple's de facto relase cycle: platform launch followed by a refresh the next year.

weird enough, why do ppl still think steve jobs = everything about apple... i mean, steve didnt design the earlier iphone's looks, nor does the new CEO designed the latest iphone... i mean, they only just give a "go!" "junk!" "you're fired!" "you're promoted!" word like an answering machine... can't you guys give some credit to the guys that actually did the thinking for once?

well i'll give steve an applause for having a talent of gathering workers that actually do their thing.

Edit: if apple ever plans to sue intel and get them pissed then say goodbye to mac books =P

Any great idea without Steve's blessing won't get released by Apple. That simple. Steve Jobs saved the company from bankruptcy when he came back. Apple owes everything they have now from him. He's the face of Apple. He may not have designed the iphone but he may have the initial idea and when to push for that idea.

I just don't understand why people go all crazy over the iPhone. To me it seems people only like apple products because it's a fashion trend. It doesnt really matter whats inside anymore.

Even if you say that, I still think Apple is in great shape.

Put it this way. Right now, the stock markets are full of shitty information. (I mean the outlook is bad for most). So Apple decided now was probably the most opportune time to sit on their ass and get a nice stock price adjustment.

Coming soon: RIM vs Samsung etc. They will fight tooth and claw.

Apple will jump into the fray when that information dies down. Explosive stock price jump when that happens.

I didn't expect ANY phone. I guess I was wrong. But I was pretty confident no iPhone5 was coming in October.
