Why do I need a Xbox 360?

Is exclusives the only condition you have for a console? Do things like online service, comfortable gamepads, good specs, dvd/blu-ray player matter at all for you who bought or will buy a console? I am just curious, because so far the only thing discussed is exclusive titles.

Blu-ray player is nice. I can watch 3D movies which is also nice. Much beyond those two and games... not much. PS3 controller does seem a little more awkward compared to a comfortable Xbox 360 controller... but the PS3 is just better.

Ps3 controller >>>>> xbox 360 controller. Mostly since you just plug in a cord and then forget it is battery driven, for 360 you have to buy one with a wire in order to get decent functionality from the controller, ie it doesn't die when you are playing.

Another good thing (that Sosseres reminded me)...
Xbox 360 controller battery life: 6-8 hours max
PS3 controller battery life: 30-35 hours max
I like not having to plug in my controller every 2 to 3 days... it's more like a week and a half. Only downside is that the cable Sony gives with the PS3 is SHORT.

A USB extension will fix that though. They work fine plugged into laptops and the like as well. :)
AceD:
Razer Onza > Ps3/Xbox pads. (Though it must be said, for FPS games PS3 pad has garbage triggers)
I use mine on Xbox, PS3 and PC.
Xbox is better online, nobody can argue it unless your some faggotfanboy who insists. Apart from that both are similar, people say PS3 has more power but the fact is whatever platform a game is designed for it will run best on...like COD is a port to PS3, it will always run best on Xbox. Final Fantasy is a port to Xbox, it will always run best on PS3.
and so on
