I couldn't find a better list of exclusives. :/

I do know how you can create one though, feel free to guess which platform is which from amount of releases:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=5&game=&contrib=0&genre=0&region=0&date=2011&developer=&publisher=&dist=0&sort=4&link=0&res=1&title=0&adv=1 24 pages of releases for 2011.

vs

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=1028&game=&contrib=0&genre=0&region=0&date=2011&developer=&publisher=&dist=0&sort=4&link=0&res=1&title=0&adv=1 7 pages of releases for 2011.

vs

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=1029&game=&contrib=0&genre=0&region=0&date=2011&developer=&publisher=&dist=0&sort=4&link=0&res=1&title=0&adv=1 18 pages of releases for 2011.

vs

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=1031&game=&contrib=0&genre=0&region=0&date=2011&developer=&publisher=&dist=0&sort=4&link=0&res=1&title=0&adv=1 4 pages of releases for 2011.

Then you just need somebody to create a script to rip all the data and remove all duplicates, showing a list of exclusives for 2011. Then do the same for 2010 and 2009 to get that 2 year window you wanted.

To get an even better list you should also use another listing site, preferably from Eastern Europe, then one from Korea and one from Japan. That way you probably cover ~98% of all serious PC releases.

To get the last 2% you need to start crawling the java/flash based game sites for the missing titles, some of those are very very good but tend to miss out on being on normal lists.

Can you understand that I don't have to like even 5% of those games? Can you understand that in the past few years I liked certain games more than others and those I liked more just happened to be on consoles? It's just personal prefere...

You know what, fuck it. I don't care. Sure, PC exclusives are so much better an there is so much more of them and all of them are freaking diamonds. You're happy now? Now will we please go back on topic? I know I'm started it and I'm very sorry, I lost, it's your win, now go back on topic. OP wants to know about worthy X360 exclusives. Not PS3 not Wii and not PC, just give him X360.

Happy now? Great, because I'm done here.

K, last post for me then. I doubt you have played even 1% of the titles released in this 2 year period. Saying you prefer one platform over another seems a bit odd in that case. You might have preferred the AAA titles of one platform more than those of another, yet those are always the minority of releases that satisfy a decent portion yet is almost never exactly right for a player. If you base your opinion on those titles, then fine.

As for why I like the PC platform the most, it is the only one I play old games on as well as new ones. This year I played a game released July 1, 2003 more than I did all titles released this year combined. I can't think of a single console game I (personally) would want to play more than two times.

As for x-box 360 topic. http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=1029&game=&contrib=0&genre=0&region=0&date=2011&developer=&publisher=&dist=0&sort=4&link=0&res=1&title=0&adv=1 Games released this year, check if you want to play any of those. If you do, check if it is multi platform or not. If nothing there is something you want to play, then skip the 360 since the ps3 is better for most other uses such as playing video files.

I never saw the need to get a Xbox at all.  I haven't found a game yet released for the 360 exclusively that I want to play that hasn't shown up on the PC fairly quickly (within 6 months).  Between the PS3 and my PC I can play the games I want to.

Just remember,  before you criticize someone, walk a mile in there shoes.  That way you are a mile away and have their shoes. :P

Forza? Isn't that a cheap knock-off of the famous PS exclusive Gran Turismo series?  ;D
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

It's not a cheap knock-off... but yes... it's a copy.

OP's question is should he bother getting a xbox for it's exclusives...by pointing out the superiority of PC games and lack of good xbox games everyone is showing why its not a very good reason to get an xbox...maybe if you actually payed attention to what others said instead of mindlessly bashing you would have caught that.

@OP:  As for exclusives good enough to warrant buying a $400 console for(or however much they are now)...I can't think of any, personally I got a xbox when they first came out solely for Halo and because I didnt have a computer at the time, now that I have a good gaming PC I almost never touch the 360.

Here is a question to you console owners:

Is exclusives the only condition you have for a console? Do things like online service, comfortable gamepads, good specs, dvd/blu-ray player matter at all for you who bought or will buy a console? I am just curious, because so far the only thing discussed is exclusive titles.

Everything inside the console and what it provides matters.

Blu-ray player is nice. I can watch 3D movies which is also nice. Much beyond those two and games... not much. PS3 controller does seem a little more awkward compared to a comfortable Xbox 360 controller... but the PS3 is just better.

Ps3 controller >>>>> xbox 360 controller. Mostly since you just plug in a cord and then forget it is battery driven, for 360 you have to buy one with a wire in order to get decent functionality from the controller, ie it doesn't die when you are playing.

Another good thing (that Sosseres reminded me)...

Xbox 360 controller battery life: 6-8 hours max
PS3 controller battery life: 30-35 hours max

I like not having to plug in my controller every 2 to 3 days... it's more like a week and a half. Only downside is that the cable Sony gives with the PS3 is SHORT.

A USB extension will fix that though. They work fine plugged into laptops and the like as well. :)

Razer Onza > Ps3/Xbox pads. (Though it must be said, for FPS games PS3 pad has garbage triggers)

I use mine on Xbox, PS3 and PC.

Xbox is better online, nobody can argue it unless your some faggotfanboy who insists. Apart from that both are similar, people say PS3 has more power but the fact is whatever platform a game is designed for it will run best on...like COD is a port to PS3, it will always run best on Xbox. Final Fantasy is a port to Xbox, it will always run best on PS3.

and so on

All right, thanks guys. A contest in the radio where you could win a Xbox 360 prompted my question. I'll instead attempt to buy a proper gaming PC instead.

They're like 200 bucks these days for an elite IIRC. But the accessories and games and other shit is the stuff that will really kill you.

You need an XBOX360 to play Tales of Vesperia, which is indeed very very excellent.  I'm not sure if the PS3 version has been localized yet.
