Soryon:
I am just curious how many of you have some ink.
Personally, I have 3. My name in kana on my shoulder blade, a monkey smoking a cigar on my leg, and the KMFDM symbols on my ribcage under the arm. All of which are hidden by normal clothing, aside from the monkey, who you can only see if I am wearing shorts.

So, do you have ink? If so, what and where.
If not, what are your thoughts on them?

I felt like making a thread about this since I am going in to get a new one on Friday next week. (A dragon on the other side of my ribcage, with wings extending to my back.)

So... you're not getting into an onsen.

I don't has, but I've considered getting a black stallion. Not sure where though, but depends on budget and if I really care enough to get it inked.

TMRNetShark:
3 myself... 2 small, 1 big. Want MOAR but no more viable room unless I move to my chest/legs/forearms/places people can easily see.

I would think your chest would be fine. Forearms and legs are iffy. Chest should be acceptable. I mean, you do wear shirts, right?

When I get a tattoo, I only really think of one thing- "Can you see it when I am wearing clothes."

Do they even have those in the US?

fohfoh:
Well... only in Japan. Because that's where it's enforced too. Just, as one who likes anime and probably Japan... it would suck to be like, "OMG AN ONSEN! I've heard so much about these!" only to be rejected at the door.

But for tattoos, I'm a firm believer of "go big or go home".

For the record: I went to a hot spring in Taiwan. It was awesome. Naked people an issue? Well... only if you have issues with your masculinity. If you're really worried, look up and strut your stuff. People will naturally look away.

Was supposed to go to Onsens this year... but a day (literally) after we booked, tragedy in Japan.
