Now, I’m quite hairy so I think my natural hairiness is good enough to express myself.

Thinking about my own gradually progressing hair loss, it makes me wonder how many people who've gone bald have gotten their scalp tatooed to look like they still had hair.

Dunno about that... But some women tattoo eyebrows on then pluck the shit out of them till they're super thin.

Why would anyone pluck their eyebrows?  *cringes*

And, no, I don't have one.  I've considered getting one though.

I'd want a woman to look nice and presentable. I mean if I showed up to meet you looking like a bag of ass would you have an inkling for me to stay? Anyway, off topic. Back to tattoos. Wow, only six of us on this thread have tats. *shrugs* Shikata ga nai... Tattoos aren't for everyone. Some like them, some detest them, but me, I'm attracted to the art. I see the body as a vehicle that houses the soul. I mean, you put bumper stickers on your car, right? Why not the body? Decorate it how you want to. If people have a problem with it, tell them to piss off.

Why on earth would I put bumper stickers on my car? That's like the most idiotic thing to do.

Because we can!

Ok, maybe not everyone puts bumper stickers on their car, but some people do. It's a way to express themselves. Although, I do agree with you to an extent. I wouldn't put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari or a Lotus. I definitely wouldn't put it on a RX-4 or an Acura Type-R. Ok, I'll rephrase myself then. I'd want a woman to look nice and presentable. I mean if I showed up to meet you looking like a bag of ass would you have an inkling for me to stay? Anyway, off topic. Back to tattoos. If people have a problem with it, tell them to piss off.

Yeah I wouldn't but Bumper stickers on a Type-R. A 1980 civic, perhaps. What you're saying is that if the body isn't that attract add some tattoos?

Sounds like a bad argument for Tattoos.

That's what I got out of your partially double posted paragraph.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

I'm not saying that if you're unattractive get a tattoo. I'm saying, if you feel like getting a tattoo that expresses who you are, then get one.

Of course, they are not always natural.

My buddy from way back in the day (hes a pro local DJ now) has an anime chick on his upper arm, I always wanted one like it but didn't have the balls to flaunt my anime love like that. Its a sexy full figure one like used to be on Hook-Ups shirts, if your in your late 20s they were the shiz for us ravers/skaters back in the day when I was a teenager. Hell I used to get sent home from high school for having hookups shirts with big breasted neko anime babes on them hahaha. Those shirts may even still be around but I havent seen one in ages. Bah I miss the old raver/skater styles lol.

My other friend is practically covered with them. Hes more into goth stuff, not an anime person. Ive been trying to convince him to get a goth loli anime girl somewhere, our friend who does them (also pro) was going to get him wasted and ink it on when hes passed out haha. Something like Kuroneko from Ore no Imouto bahaha. His gf threatened to kill us =)

I honestly wouldn't care.  I'd start talking to you.  I work at a games' store.  I'm sorry to say, most of the people that come in and you have a conversation with about games are guys who look like that.  Also, I hang around the IT department at university so I'm used to it.  (No offence to IT guys meant by that, by the way.  I'm just saying that most of my male friends look like that.)

You can't judge a book by its cover as they say.  =)

Also, I've plucked my eyebrows once and I must say, it's not worth the pain...

Aside from games stereotyping to fuck which I'll ignore for now...

I do have to agree with Kura, it really does not hurt that hugely.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

I have both upper arms done and will likely get my future child's name underneath the left arm.

Left arm is a crucifix with a marble style to it. Funny story, I didn't ask for the marble shading. Homie just did it and told me afterwards. Fortunately, I liked it. I didn't go back there for my right arm.

Right arm has the signs of the bushido.

Here's a fun game. One of the signs is slightly messed up - who knows which one?

***EDIT*** Also, as to the pain question(s) - it depends on where you get it done. The arms don't hurt so long as you don't go back to the soft skin. If it's flesh that's right over a bone expect it to hurt more. Honestly, it's an addictive feeling. After you get one done you really want to go get another. It feels... warm.

The pain is part of what brings you back for more. It start out as a little stinging sensation but after awhile once your brain puts out Endorphins its a more relaxing soothing humming sensation. My two are in some of the most painful spots. across the chest plate then all over my side hitting all the nice ribs and things along the way.

Doesn't look like you have a typo there. Your picture is blurry but I don't spot any mistakes. The writing style is inconsistent though. One of the characters is written in a cursive style that's not consistent with the rest. The character for righteousness 義.

I have tats on both arms, chest, thigh and back. Wherever you hit bone, it hurts like a bitch. Places like the collar bone, the middle of the chest. Around the nip was painful as well. That one really perked me up lol. Otherwise it's just a burning sensation after the first couple minutes. What I found most fascinating about the entire experience is watching the little fountains of blood sprout as the needle works across the skin. I couldn't take my eyes off that the first time I got a tat.

Wow that photo is more blurry when it's larger. Oh well, I am right handed afterall so the left-handed shot didn't turn out well. The one that's slightly messed up (not wrong, just not "right") is the third one, 勇. The top line is not connecting and there's no curve on one of the bottom slashes.

Don't have, don't want one either.
Parts of it I admired greatly, parts I laughed at till my sides were almost sore;
other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...
