The problem with that, is they are often not cheap if you get it done by a pro. A full back tattoo can cost more then a car.
No, I dont need to go big, but there is a story behind each of mine. That, I think, is most important. Not getting tattoos in a whim, but getting them for a reason. I want to illustrate important things in my life, even if they are tounge and cheek (like the monkey)
Name in kana, not a huge story, but its kinda showing my weeaboo with out showing my weeaboo
Monkey smoking a cigar- A long running joke with a friend of mine who passed away. I got it as a tribute.
KMFDM symbols- That CD changed my entire view on music and is still to this day my favorite disc. Plus it just looks cool.

Speaking of tattoos, me and a friend made a new drinking game. Basically, you watch pro sports and you drink every time you see a neck tattoo.

V; A used one. also, keyword= "can."

Depends what type of car. I've heard quotes so far ranging from 1.5-5k CAD for a full back one. But when they say full back, nearly nothing is left untouched. Even empty space is shaded for shadows etc. Quotes coming from a guy who recently had a full arm angel/shield done and going back for more (I think he said either 700 or 900 for the arm) I'd trust his estimate.

The other guy had a full on angel with wings on his back. Quote was like 3-4k (I asked him when it was like 3/4 done).

But yeah. Colored ones might kill your wallet more. My friend's ones were all black and white.

I don't have any ink but I have a few friends that do.

I did not know that people with tatoos are not allowed entry at onsens in Japan.  What's the reason for it?  Some kind of aesthetic or hygiene objection?  Or are yakuza just not allowed to bathe?

Personally, I don't have any tatoos.  I'm not cool enough, and it's contrary to my limited sense of personal style anyway.

kitamesume:
^ its because they dont want any trouble on their onsen. =P paranoid about yakuza in short.
