In need of some help! Hint: video conversion

Hello. I just recently bought my very own TV (37" Samsung Led Full HD TV), and was really pumped to watch some animes to try it out. First of: Queen's Blade 1080p. worked like a charm. Then, Fate/Stay Night by [Anime Supreme], didn't work. a window popped out of the tv telling me that "video codec is not supported". I'm fairly new to video conversions and stuff, and i really did some searches here in the forum but almost all of the solutions are for PC related issues.

My question: does anyone know (and point me) where i can learn to convert HE-AAC into H.264 and what to use and how? google points me to Handbrake (already installed) but i don't know what options to choose.

Any form of help is very much appreciated! TIA!

hmm. you should know which codecs your TV player(?) has.

wait, you're using a PC or a stand-alone player to play those moves? if its a player then you'll have no choice but to use handbrake and re-encode them. firstly though, know what formats/encode your player support, then it'll be easy using handbrake.

Why not just buy a HDMI cable to connect to your TV from your computer/laptop?

Thanks for the input guys! i download my animes here at work, and i store copies of them in my external hd, then watch at home. My player used to be WD HDTV 2G Media Player, which supports almost all formats of video (lagging on mp4 formats), audio and subs. but recently i use my newly bought tv since i can directly connect the xhd, but the tv does not support HE-AAC. that is why i am asking for help. i want to just use the tv for my movies and animes, because the media player i use is dead in terms of updates. i will now read more on Handbrake, since the Help section on Handbrake itself seems to not help much.
