jaybug:
Wait, was Japan the only country infected by the virus? Are you guys gonna make me go re-watch episode one, to listen for one 5 second snippet?

FYI viruses mutate, quickly. There would be no guarantees that a virus would remain immutable once released into he wild. That's why they are so freaked by H1N1 avian flu virus.

We're doing a lot of speculating on the knowledge base of the creators. And what if they chose to use their artistic license to create their world, that does not have all the same laws regarding viruses as the one we inhabit?

Not that you guys are not actually correct. You could well be.

Havoc10K:
Aren't we always doing that ?
We all love to speculate :3

Ashall:
Just watched episode five.. It was pretty good although the ecchi things were kind of annoying, but I think this is Shounen so it's understandable.

But that didn't really bother me that much. On the other hand there was a part that I really disliked. (click to show/hide)The whole Inori and Gai spending the night together a couple of times a month. They should have kept us guessing for a bit longer if you ask me... But hey, we know Gai has health problems now and something is up with Inori (I'm guessing she's a clone or something)

The test scene was pretty cool, animation-wise, but the whole concept of the test was questionable. I'm guessing Shu/anyone wasn't supposed to pass, going by what some characters said. I knew he was going to become a member regardless, not like they would let him walk away without using him first.
But besides that it was a good episode, I like the new characters it introduced and I sort of like the wheel chair girl a bit more. Maybe understand would be better, I really don't think I like her too much.

BMXgunnar08:
I think the whole point of the test wasn't to test Shu on whether or not he is capable of being part of the Funeral Parlor, but showing the other members what he is capable of, because when Shu was first introduced, most of the member kind of mocked him and disregarded him.

AnimeJanai:
Just a few more days and we'll get to see Shu pushing some buttons!

I also want to know if Funeral Parlor tinkered with the button device or not.  Having Shu totally naked in that room implies that they did a full search of him because it would have been prudent to do that.  Since they don't know for sure if Shu has the pen device as a willing accomplice to GHQ or not, they are keeping silent on the matter.  I also wonder if Shu knows if his mother works for GHQ or not.  He doesn't seem to regard his mother's opinions at all in the show.
