ETL19:
uh what i thought was Shu, "died". Inori wanted him to live so she gave everything left of her to Shu. hence why he was blind.

Havoc10K:
How does that make sense ?

Ozzaharwood:
If you were watching, you would've seen that the void caused Mana to go blind, consequently making Inori blind, and because Shu's void absorbs everything around it, he became blind after absorbing Inori.

Mistgun_Zero:
Hmm, right now I am need of a nice new anime to watch and I was thinking of picking this up or BRS. Which do you think I should go for?

If it's GC, which group's release is the best (720p of course).

Xtras:
I have to say, that last episode was really disappointing to me. I'm left with the impression that they spent so much on music, character models, and animation (which were fantastic) that they didn't give enough of a damn about the actual story writing. It ended up really rushed and the ending was disappointing.

1. Final fight with Gai felt really weak. What was it actually? Gai slashes at Shu 3 times, Shu falls down. Somehow magically Inori comes to his rescue and he gets the sword too. They clash once, and then Shu slashes Gai and Gai pretty much dies. The funny part? I didn't simplify the above. That was literally it. I expected far more epic animation than that.

2. Everyone gets screwed in the end. Who really has a happy ending? Shu loses Inori and his eyes and seemingly his powers. Gai and Mana die. Daryl loses his only friend, who came out of nowhere. Kuhouin gets shot, though apparently it healed. I suppose Funnel had a happy ending, with those new robot babies.

3. Load of holes which I didn't entirely get. Why did Mana suddenly change back to Inori? Why did Inori/Mana go blind? Gai thought the only way to free Mana was to let her complete her Apocalypse? Didn't she end up not completing it anyway? I thought it stopped halfway with the flower and Inori singing. Didn't entirely make sense to me anyway.

4. Again, everything felt rushed like hell. In a 22 episode series they shouldn't have wasted so much time earlier on with small plot lines and tiny details.

I dunno I had high hopes for GC. Probably too high. Realistically, if they did this visual novel style and made a new route with the same characters, that might make for a freaking nice show. People call Geass a trainwreck, but honestly I kinda preferred that show's ending to this one.
