Luckily the Code Geass vibe is not the bad vibe you could get from this show.

Defo OP and ED songs are great.

Second episode under my belt. Still not bored. I enjoy the severity of the characters. "Kill em all Daryl," and Shu just opens him up and takes his gun? Nice. Looking forward to more. The art is substantial. Also, the color themes, they remind me of "V" and "Bleach". They put those hard contrasts on top of some excellently detailed backgrounds. It's working. Good times.

So from what seen the first eps is there some type of allusion to the human bodily immune system?

Isn't that more the realm of Persona 4?

I never watched or played the video game of Persona 4 so i do not know sry.

During episode 2 I found myself so bored by the plot that I was tempted to stop watching in the middle of the episode. Yada yada yada nice action and le pretty colours yada yada who cares. The plot, so far, is so incredibly predictable and also boring. I do hope there are some twists soon. Or maybe some more character development instead of just action action action.

I will continue watching, as it may get good, but so far I'm not impressed.

Yup, the first 2 episodes of 24(ish) should of told everybody's life story, and threw in a twist or two.

Seriously, it's just introducing the characters and premise of the story, like you'd get all that so soon.

I don't expect it to do all that. Just not be boring as hell.

22. Noitamina usually works in multiples of 11. Since 2008 the only exception were Library Wars (Spring 2008) and House of Five Leaves (Spring 2010).

I loved everything up until the end of episode 2.  Why are they trying to cling to his school life?  It was crazy interesting with the focus on the military.

Also...the MOST important, interesting scene was missing from the episode.

The scene where, after Shu single-handedly annihalated the enemy troops, after Gai dramatically extended his hand to offer comradery in their fight against evil....

the scene where Shu said, "No." and walked away.  I just HAVE to see the look on Gai's face, or EVERYONE's face when that happened.  When Shu EPICALLY pussied out of his responsibilities.

this is what I think will/could/should happen
Gai dies in the middle of the series. Noob takes over and becomes pro. Happy ending.

I've been watching this show via simulcast and I think I'm going to stop looking forward to this show. It's pretty and sounds great great, but the plot... It's just so predictable.

It reminds me of a lot of other anime, in fact it reminds me of too many anime series. There are quite a few cliches, actually more than a few... I feel like I'm watching a parody, but sadly I'm watching something intending to be serious.

But it's only the first few episodes so I won't lose faith. Many series have had rough starts that I'm glad I finished. So I'll keep watching for now. All I ask is please Guilty Crown, turn my criticism into amazement and adoration.

All I know for sure is that this will be one beautiful Blu-ray.

Your problem is :
You expect a lot from todays anime shows, stop expecting anything and you will notice you can enjoy them even if they have so many flaws.

Btw, nice signature, though too bad it was so tortured...
