Havoc10K:
I kind of like this show cuz I miss some of that shit happening in it. Repetitive or not.

--- Quote from: Ashall ---But the biggest difference, to me at least, is that Lelouch is more fit for a lead role than Shu seems to be. Shu kinda gets on my nerves, but I guess that leaves more character development for him. I guess the skittish turned hero never gets old.. I don't think even a single character is at all unique so far.

Shu was not born into an autocrat family nor surrounded by nobility born to rule lesser humans.  Shu is a JAPANESE STUDENT intending to be another complacent cog in the machine.  So, when viewers require Shu to be immediately a dashing hero with Inori at this side, it's going to take some time for Shu to wake up and Occupy GenomeStreet as it were.

Naturally, Shu sucks if his activity, leadership, or aggressiveness is judged from a Klingon perspective.  If judged from a Pokemon Master perspective, his initiative to take on new fights is lacking, but Pokemon Masters could be like that since they lived in a country where lolitas wander alone with zero fear of rape, thievery, and a place to eat, sleep, and wash up.  Shu's not even up to the level of Sakura Kinomoto but of course Sakura had several trusted friends always sticking with her.  Shu basically has no parents, no advisors, and lives alone.  The male students at school are pretty self-centered so they suck as people on his side.  His mother is quite obviously one of the conservatives supporting the military government since she is a scientist working with the manipulation of human genome expressions.  But if you look at Shu from the perspective of a privileged student civilian japanese citizen, he's doing pretty well all things considered.

It really would be great if the elites could finally make a genome expression that could be released into the wild.  Only the elites who were vaccinated would be spared from the effect with the justification that the docile population needed shepards to watch over them.   But maybe that is for the second season of this series that all so many claim is predictable.

Oh well, at least Shu has the reliable good-natured Yashiro as his friend at school.   If not for Yashiro, Shu's friends would all be selfish self-oriented brash students.

Havoc10K:
If not for the fact that he (click to show/hide)fucked him over, but that is to be predictable since he promised, and we know japanese teenagers don't brake promises right ?

yah I'm guessing he hasn't watched the third episode yet..

And his arguments are getting stranger and stranger, all you had to do was point out the different upbringings yet he just goes all over the place.

Well I'm done arguing about Guilty Crown, I'm pretty sure this annoying other people as well. Sorry for being such a critic especially since I have no grounds to do so. I'm tired of sounding like I hate this show, I was just a little disappointed with the cliches. So sorry again, I post on the forums to share my point of view not to start fights.

Havoc10K:
Well, like I said, don't expect anything cuz that only brings disappointments in anime.
Do that and you can enjoy even the shittiest show :)

Also he addressed most people that talk about clishes and repeating stuff, and quite frankly, if you were on IRC that day, you would know my opinion, his words are quite mild and tame. I have a screenshot of it, and i'll keep it so I can LOL at myself for trying to post that :)

Now I wonder how he will get out of this situation, I'm pretty sure the undertakers or what their name was will just pop up and save his little ass.
