Well, I guess Iori got what was coming to her, for keeping up false appearances all the time. When a girl keeps you on a leash for so long, without implying that she actually wants to go forward eventually, I can't blame Taichi for switching to Inaban, who's proven that she truly has the hots for him, while Iori has been mostly passive all the time.
I thought these 4 episodes were much better than what the main show has shown me. Not that it was bad, just not as good.
It also shows how Iori was technically the one Balloon Vine had targeted all along, and that (some of) the others needed to change to achieve whatever goal he has set in mind.
From what I heard, there's more to the story than what we've seen so far, and it's not the last we've seen of BV, but I doubt that all the bad rep this show got over the past few months has done any good for its sales, so we probably won't get to see more of this in the future.
