Stubborn green lines on computer screen in Lost Planet
« on: October 14, 2011, 02:37:14 AM »
I do not know if I should put this in the game forum or here, but since it has to deal with computers I guess this is as good as any. I have just recently been playing into the PC games when I recently bought a gaming laptop. I bought a used Lost Planet game to try my computer out, however there are stubborn green lines on the top edge and the left edge of the computer screen. The game plays fine, but I to know from other technical people if there is a way to make those green lines disappear. I really don't know where to start if there is a solution to this.

OS: Windows 7 HP 64-Bit
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850
Processor: Intel Core i7 Q840
Ram: 8GB

I would look at the drivers first. Try to go to your OEM's site (the company who made your laptop) and see if there are any new drivers.

I've experienced similar graphical glitches when my drivers fails if I overclock it too high. I am unsure if your model of i7 has an integrated GPU on it but if it does, make sure you switch to your Radeon GPU while you are plugged in and on the battery for maximum graphical performance.

Sounds like driver problems.
Radeon graphics, it happens, go update your drivers.
